Nothing grinds my gears like Dependency.

i can't stand it when someone is extremely dependent on the people surrounding them, ESPECIALLY a significant other. and when they "NEED" to have one all the time and these boyfriends bend over backwards for that person. and that's what they expect from them. especially being 17, or any age, I don't expect a boyfriend to pay for my cellphone bill or take me shopping at the mall, using his money to pay for everything i mean it would be nice but, in all reality, it's ridiculous! i hate being dependent on others for anything but for everything? that makes no sense at all... how is life a cakewalk for some people, and gutwrenching for others?? what do you think about dependent people?

I have always been a very independant person myself, and do not ask for help much in my life. I think that there are times when you need to be able to lean on people for help and support, like if someone is sick or something, but no, I could never live by NEEDING to have someone do things for me. I want to be able to support myself, but I also think it's OK for a Husband and Wife to share expenses. I really don't like those needy couples either where the girls just hangs on for a free ride!
