Texas preparing for spill over violence

As most of us have heard, the violence in Mexico is getting worse. Especially with the drug cartels. Mexico was identified in a Department of Defense report last year as a country that could destabilize rapidly.Officials are concerned that the drug violence could cross the Rio Grande into southern Texas and how to handle an influx of Mexicans fleeing violence."Do you strengthen the borders so people cannot get in by the thousands every day, or do you create detention centers where people are held until their status is determined?" asked state Sen. Dan Patrick. "This is a potential refugee problem..." Homeland Security is calling the fall of the Mexican gov. as a real possibility. He is calling for the possible use of troops, aircrafts, and tanks if the border guards can not stop the violence. What do you think? The drug cartels are waging a war against the Mexican gov. How do we stop this from spilling over into our country?

It is interesting that there is an increase in violence in Mexico at a time when great numbers of illegal aliens from Mexico are leaving the United States and returning to Mexico!

The answer is that you either assist the country's problem (which is not always wise) or assist the people directly (again, not always wise)...you cannot prevent spillage without building a wall...which in itself has alot of drawbacks, like if the situation ever becomes reversed (and no one can predict that sort of thin). If it's refugees, you offer compassion. If it's soldiers, you kill or jail them. If it comes to real battle, then you fight. That's a much better kind of war, I say, than some examples.
