Mom is so lonely

My mom called today because she was listening to a radio talk program and all the women said their husband is their valentine. She sounded a bit sad, probably because dad was killed so long ago and she's missing him on yet another occasion. She said she was looking through the cards I sent her over the years and how lovely the words are. I told her I pick them very carefully just for her because she deserves them. She's taking me out for a cup of tea this afternoon as her valentine gift to me. I think it's so sweet... I'll have to remember to stop and pick her up a box of her favorite chocolates and another beautiful card for her collection.
