I'd like to find a good website to publish short stories.

I think I responded to a discussion on this same subject a couple of days ago. I'll repeat myself anyway by telling you about a site called Triond that I joined 3 weeks ago. You can submit photos, articles, stories, audio and video on there for publishing. You get paid by the number of times your work is viewed - it doesn't pay much, but it does help you gain confidence, and everyone on there is very supportive and helpful.
