Moving day.....Sunday, no Monday, Tues and Wed are out.........

As some of you know I am in the midst of moving. Planning, packing, taking care of business, etc. I figured out this morning, that I would leave here, on my 350 mile move, Sunday or Monday. Orginally it was going to be next Thursday, but then there is supposed to be snow showers Wed. and Thurs., I'd rather have good weather to drive in. So, then I planned for Tues., but something changed, so I figured Sunday or Monday, that was until 2:07 this afternoon! My soon to be ex b/f, left the house to go run some errands.....at 2:07 he called me. He had driven himself to the hospital! And he had had a heart attack! He had complained off and on about 'indigestion' the past few days. Obviously it wasn't indigestion! He just recently retired, and turned 47 in Jan. So, they transferred him to a bigger hospital 45 miles away, no I'm not going down there, since all he wanted from me ...was to take care of the dog and hold down the fort. He did say they would probably put in a stint. So, moving is put off until he can get back home. Has anyone else planned things and something just keeps putting up a 'road' block? I was also wondering if anyone has had, or knows someone who has had a stint put in, how long was the hospital stay? And how long was it for total recovery?

Hey palonghorn! What is the stint for? What are you supposed to do now? Stay and take care of the dog and then be his nurse after he told you to get out! Wow! That really sucks! If it wasn't for the poor dog I would tell you to leave his azz anyway! I am only worried about the dog! What nerve he has! I don't now what the stint is for so I can't say. If he had a heart attack I can't figure out what that stint would be there for. I've had medical training but I'm a bit confused!

Let me say, I won't be staying to be his nurse and maid! And I will be moving as soon as he gets released and is home to take care of the dog. He did call a little while ago, they had shot the dye in and everything, he has a collapsed artery, completely collapsed, to the point that a stint can't even be done. However, they told him that his body has been compensating and that it has formed a 'new' artery for the blood to flow through. He says he has a lot of questions for the doctor in the morning! For tonight he is in ICU. Said he'd call me tomorrow when he talked to the doctor.

stints can be day surgery, but since he had the heart attack, they may chose to keep him for a few days.

Thanks, he seemed to think he would be in the hospital for a few days.
