obesity is one of the serious disorder of our society. Some person are slowly digging their graves with their teeth. With all the high income, we eat more we exercise less.It is quite evident that overweight is fast becoming a serious health hazard. The fact is that overweight person does not look as attractive as one who is within their normal weight. It is proven that overweight person are incline to ge a long list of severe physical disorders. They are more prone to heart disease, high blood pressure. The overweight person are more prone to accident, because they are not as quick. It is a fact that a lot of overweight person are doing something about it, and are being successful in the process.

I have a niece who is also obese. I am afraid she got sick at a very young age. Even how hard I tell her to start having a diet, she could not. Lack of discipline and she is being overcome by hunger. I pity her a lot.

I am yet young, but I make sure that all of my "gears" are running well. I eat as healthy as I can, and I avoid bad food, though I treat myself every so often, we should all enjoy our most delicious unhealthy foods at times hehe, but healthy foods can be equally as delicious. Once you get into healthy eating it is not as bad as some make it out to be, you learn new recipes and you have a lot of fun adapting foods to your diet. I have become a much better chef since I have challenged myself to meals that are very nutritious. It is easy to slap together a burger or salad, but I go a bit farther than that. With good eating comes needed exercises. You want to keep your muscles so you have a metabolism, and burn off fat areas that can be harmful to you, the more muscle, the less you have to worry about fat. I have struggled with exercise, because I am pretty lazy, but I have been good at it lately. Today I did 1 1/2 hours of karate in the morning, and then I ran on the treadmill a little bit ago for a half hour, so I feel great. I really hope that others in America and across the world will pick up better habits as well. I am not exactly the biggest health nut, but I used to be overweight and if I can get trim anyone can!

Dear Willy6 I am rather curious when you mention 'society' Are you saying that society refers to USA or other country or in general. For your information there is a strong correlation between wealth and health. In countries like Vietnam, Cambodia and Indonesia, generally the people are healthy and have little or no weight problem. However, we are captains of our 'ships' or bodies. What we put into our mouth is slowly depends on our choice. External influence have little influence in our lives, if we get this 'money' out from our back so to speak! So my take on this is watch your weight and health at every minute of your life, externally and internally. You have to live with yourself the rest of your life. OK? Thanks Love: Bro. Joe. GBU
