A storm, not a hurricane, just a regular windy storm came threw and knocked my power out for three days. Now the storm only lasted an hour yet it took the power company way to long to get the power back up. has this ever happened to you, is your power company lagging when weather strikes.

That happened to us a several years ago when my kids were teenagers. It's one of my fondest memories. It happened in October so it wasn't too cold yet. The schools were out of power too so my kids were home. We basically camped out at home. We had a wind up radio to listen to the news and music, we played a lot of games together, ate by lantern light. I remember we were in the middle of a game when all of a sudden the electricity came back on, it's weird but it felt like an intrusion. We finished our game and then it was back to life as usual. But it was a great 3 days.

Just a couple of months ago we had a massive ice storm that knocked our power out and we didnt get it back for a week. Infact that was the biggest power lost in the history of our state. Man was that torture Ive never been so bored I hate when the power goes out.

When I was a baby we got hit with a really big snowstorm that knocked out power for days. We had no heat and nothing to heat the house with of course so they ended up putting in a lot of phone calls to the electric company about how there was a baby in the house and how they really needed to get the electric fixed ASAP. I'm not sure how long the power was out but it was awhile. We lost power for a few days awhile ago when lightning hit our transformer too. We had to wait for them to get the right parts to fix it.

Last June, a typhoon hit our province. Several electrical posts were knocked down by the strong winds. We didn't have power for two weeks and I didn't get connected to the Internet until a month and a half later. Fortunately, the weather was cool. I had to fend off the mosquitoes though by lighting up mosquito coils which didn't smell pleasant at all. It's a good thing that electricians from Manila, our country's capital, came here to assist our local electricians. Without those people from Manila, we would have had to endure power outage for months.

Yeah, about 3 years ago,a typhoon came in August .On the night ,the power was cut off.Everything became inconvenient. All of the members in our village had to stay in the dark ,waiting the typhoon gone.Well, we were not worried though the wind was quite heavy .Maybe it was impossible for us to stay togetother when the power was normal .But the inconvenience made it possible .We talked a lot on that night ,feeling not feared but excited.THANKS!
