We will be going to our son's for the week. What are your plans?

We are leaving Sunday to go to our son's home to sat the week. On Monday our son's girlfriend is being admitted into the hospital and they are going to induce labor. Yes I you guessed it sometime after that we will be meeting our first grand son. I am so excited to finally be meeting my beloved grand son. I love him so much already I cannot wait to see what he looks like and hold him and kiss him.
I am so proud of my son and his girlfriend for all the preparation they have done to get ready for their baby.
At first my son did not want to be in the delivery room and now he has changed his mind and does want to see his son be born. His girlfriend is afraid our son will be staring at her privates, which she calls “Junk” I think it is cute the way she uses slang for her body parts. I assured her that when she has that baby her “Junk” is no longer hers and she will lose all modesty and that people will not be looking at her “Junk” they are looking at where the baby is coming out. She has asked me to be in the delivery room with her so I hope to be there also.
I am an RN and have seen lots of babies be born and I think there is nothing so beautiful in the world then bringing a human into this world. What do you guys think? Has anyone of you been in the delivery room when your grand baby was born? How did it feel to watch him/her come into this world?
I will be away from the site for a while because I will be busy with the delivery and then helping them with the baby. I will let you all know how it went when I get time.

i am also getting excited along(i think your excitement is contagious).i do agree with you,seeing a child being delivered is one of the most wonderful things one can ever experience.do post a snap of your grandson,i would love to see him.even i wont be so active in the coming days,as my brother and his wife have come down from kuwait and will be here for next 2 weeks.

Hi teapotmom, I’m really glad to know that you are going to visit your son and his girlfriend very soon. Yeah, it’s nice for you to accompany your son’s gf in the labor room for this is her first baby and she will need a lot of support both in psychology and physical. What’s more you are a RN that has lots of experience. Congrats in advance my friend for you will have an adorable new born grandkid very soon.
Yeah, I had been in the delivery room for hours when I gave birth to my kids in the earlier days. It was an unforgettable moment when I had got the first crying sound of my boy as well as the wonderful moment when I first sight of my boy when the nurse showed him to me. He was so cute and warm and I could hardly move away my sight from him when he was first lying in my arms comfortably.
Take your sweet time to stay with your loved ones as well as the new born baby. I’m looking forward to hearing good news from you later on.

The delivery went well and the whole thing was great. When it came to the actural pushing she did well and the baby was born in less than an hour. We met out first grand son on March 17, at 5:04. He was 8lbs and 3oz. Mom is a little girl and she had a vag delivery and did well.

Good luck to you...i think by the time i am responding you must have seen your grand son.......here no special plans, last week i had been out of station for the marriage of my sister's daughter now after returning have to concentrate on children's studies,as their final exams are near, busy in making them perfect to get good marks.

Congrats on your daughters marriage. How many children do you have and what are their ages? We have a daughter and a son the son is 27 soon to be 28 and our daughter is 30.

I can imagine how excited you are. my son and his girlfriend had a baby in November and I was really excited, as this was his first child, so now I have 4 grandkids. I hope all goes well with the delivery.

Same as every other day actually. Sit home tending to dads whims and needs. Pick my wife up at night from work. Then Saturday the daughter and grandkids visit. Then Sunday is alone time for my wife and I with dad of course for most the day. Next Saturday we do have a company coming over for window estimates. Ugghh! I need $10,000. Hahaha! My daughter would not allow me in the delivery room. But was there as soon as she and the babie arrived though in the room. Grats also. I was there for my dasughters birth though.

on this weekend i may go out with my parents...the central jail which is in chennai is will be demolished for metro rail project..everyone who was in that jail is being transfered to another...so i mit go ter to have a look!!

How was that the move and demolition? I have not seen such a thing. We did see that a train derailed sometime in the last few days. There was four trains waiting in line to go past when they get the track open.
