specially if there are kids in the house the television is mostly tuned on cartoons. whether it is the local channels, cable channels or dvd. i can say that POCOYO and tom and jerry is number one here at home. paw paw as what my son calls BLUES CLUES, is up also on the list. GO DIEGO GO. my son also watch barney when i am not around.... sorry but barney annoys me. i can not stand watching him. cars and monster inc are on the list as well. toy story too.

i agree with you bomb. there is more bonding if you share one tv although there will always be a battle with the remote. i have a small tv inside our bedroom but that is more used while me playing ps or my wife wants to watch a dvd before sleeping. all the tv shows we watch we watch it together at the living room. i havea brother who lives in london and he is also complaining about something like that. he also wishes that they can all sit in the living room and watch tv together

Probably it happens to you as well, but even kids tastes change from time to time, so what I get to play on my tv varies a lot. Sometimes we watch a dvd a whole week, like for example when we had to watch Barney for what seemed eternity to me! GO Diego, Go is also one of my son's favourite. Then there is Little Eintseins, Scooby Doo, Bob the Builder, Handy Manny. Right now, we are watching Garfield' Funfest to infinity!!

Pocoyo is fantastic. We watch it too. Sometimes my boy is playing with something, even when Pocoyo is on and I listen to him answer the questions to the television. It has helped him a lot with his vocabulary and the images are very nice. We are watching series one since I have all episodes and I also find it very good that the episodes are short.

We always watch hentai here at home ha!ha!ha! just kidding. We love to watch tom and jerry everyday. We also love to watch all shrek movies I think we've watched it
so many times. My kids love to watch shrek 'coz it reminds them of their uncle. The resemblance is almost the same wha!ha!ha!ha!.Seriously one thing I love about watching cartoons is that,my kids learned how to speak english just by watching cartoons. We're amazed when we heard our kids talking in english, and I tell you the english is correct and they understand what they're saying. We also watch spongebob, totally spies, doreamon, monster inc.,pokemon, naruto, and the longest running cartoon series dragon ball. But our top three cartoons are shrek, spongebob, and tom and jerry.

I was asking for the most watched cartoons, not a lineup of shows. I'm sure you rather watch soap operas instead, hohoho. Aren't hentai for perv#rts only? You must be desperate to watch rated x cartoons. You should let your kids watch diego too so they'll learn some Spanish words, intiende?

My little brother loves watching Sponge Bob and a couple of animes along with my cousin and can't help but to watch along, too and I must say Sponge Bob is really funny, LOL. Sometimes, they switch it to Disney channel to watch some Martin Mystery, Monster Allergy, and Totally Spies. They're all cool specially Totally Spies.

Children watching cartoons is okay, but it has to be regulated. In other words, children's watching TV should be balanced with spending quality time with them. Once the TV is turned off, parents can tell stories, interact, hug their children. This will keep bonding stronger. I don't know, I am the traditional parent. I still believe in personally guiding my own kids especially when they were young. It's okay, adults like us also watch cartoons and have our own preferences. It brings the children in us. So go ahead and continue watching your favorite cartoon programs.

me and my wife are traditional parents as well. but that would be a different discussion. we also have time to teach him time to play. we are not thae type who just opens the tv so they will shut up. specially my wife who choose to be a 24/7 hands and stay at home mom even she is good with her career. so since the discussion is cartoons.... can you give some of those cartoons you watch at home?

I love cartoons. I am glad they have ones for adults as well as ones for kids. For the kids they seem to enjoy Tom and Jerry as well as Veggie Tales, SpongeBob Squarepants, Dora the Explorer, Curious George and Animaniacs.
As for myself :)
I like SpongeBob SquarePants, Family Guy, Shin Chan, Squidbillies, The Simpsons, South Park especially.
People would like to ban more than one of the above but I think that they don't understand that these aren't for children. They are for us adults who are grew up and had looked forward to seeing Saturday morning cartoons. I don't get or like the new anime cartoons with the exception of a very few.

My kid likes to watch DORAEMON very much !
Doraemon (????? Doraemon?) is a Japanese manga series created by Fujiko F. Fujio (the pen name of Hiroshi Fujimoto) which later became an anime series and Asian franchise. The series is about a robotic cat named Doraemon, who travels back in time from the 22nd century to aid a schoolboy, Nobita Nobi (?? ???, Nobi Nobita?).
A majority of Doraemon episodes are comedies with moral lessons regarding values such as integrity, perseverance, courage, family and respect for elders. Several noteworthy environmental issues are often visited, including homeless animals, endangered species, deforestation, and pollution. Topics such as dinosaurs, the flat earth theory, wormhole traveling, Gulliver's Travels, and the history of Japan are often covered.
