Do you beleive that money is the root of evil

In my apartment building i have an person that i talk to but were not friends. She lives totaly different from the way i live, for ex. my apartmet is smoke free i got alot of nice stuff and and a really nice plesant apartment and i'm single, her apartment is smokey and dark she doesn't have alot of stuff most things were second hand, but she does have a steady boyfriend. One day we were sitting down in our parenting centre(which she hardley goes too), she brings up this saying that money is the root of evil, i've heard that saying before, but i heard it from peple that have dreadlocks or believe in a "jah". I believe that evil is the root of evil and that a wicked(evil) soul would use whatever avenue, wheter it be money, the computer, children, women etc... to accomplish there evil deed. Do you beleive that money the root of evil and why?
