hello achinthya. When I have friends who are near-by, I just send them text messages or call them via the landline, while my friends who live far-away, I either send them a letter or an email. I also chat with them.

I keep in touch with ma dear friends only through internet and i don't like to sens sms or to call them because i feel that it hinders something between us.i do online chat where i can see them visually and see their reactions and have a good time too.I mostly allot ma timings to share with them and send them e-mails and instant messages and messengers and so on.i rarely call ma friends.they would send me messages for ma mobiles too but i do not like to correspond with that type of communication

Generally I will email to keep in contact with my friends, others I must phone using a land line or cell phone because they do not have an email address. Some I will write an old fashioned snail mail letter to because that is how they keep in contact with me. There are those that I simply go visit but first contacting them by phone. I hardly ever SMS friends but are a few that I do. We message back and forth for the simply fun when we think of each other and are not able to take a phone call or make one.

I keep in touch with my friends in many different ways. Some of my friends are Danish and some of them live in other countries. I keep in touch with them via emails or snail mail letters. It is fast and easy to write emails but some of my friends from abroad don't like to use computers and emails, so we still write eachother via snail mail letters. I keep in touch with my Danish friends via phone calls, sms, emails and or course meetings in person. Some of them live in the other end of the country, and we can't meet very often, so often keep in touch via sms or emails.

Well gone are the says when we used to write long letters and today when I sit reflecting upon seriously I do not remember when I had written a personal letter to my friends. The only means to keep in contact is either mobile phone or email. to add to the wound now we do not get sufficient even to spare to pay a social visit to the friends who are round the corner.
Is not it too bad?

Nowadays i completely depend my mobile phone for keeping in touch with my friends and relatives. It may be a local cal or an STD or an ISD, I prefer mobile phones. But before ten years i used to write to all, as there were no mobile phones or emails. I had a friend who was my school mate. We were/are very close friends. One day got transfered to another place and so she had to leave that school. We both were very sad that we had to separate. Right then we started to write letters. And we continued to write regularly. I used to wait eagerly for her letters and she also. Every week i would have her letter in my mail box. We wrote letters to each other for more than 8 years! After the emerge of cell phones and emails, WE completely stopped writing! Now we only talk with each other through mobile phones.
I use emails only for sending informations and forwards. Not for keeping in touch. I think mobile phones are the best to for keeping in touch with our loved ones!

I usually keep contact through calling, sms, yahoo messenger, email and just plain old dropping by to say hi.
I think it's really important to keep in contact with friends, it's usually important to build up your network so that in the event that you have a business or something you could easily have access with your friends so they could help you.
Similarly, there's no sense why we shouldn't keep our old friends along with the new friends, right?
Let's not burn the bridges of friendship.
