Anyone remember the Murphy Bed? It was a bed that basically flew up into the wall so you could use the space by day for something else. Not sure why they lost popularity, maybe it was all those old movies with people flying up into the wall and getting trapped that had something to do with it, or that the futon couch/bed took over, but today we found a company called Flying Beds that sells an updated version of the Murphy bed for computer users.
We Say: Not sure if I want my computer under the bed while I sleep (talk about noise and heat) and the $2,079 price tag for the TWIN said it all- costs a fortune and no chance of sharing it with another person. But great for dorms and small kids assuming you have the $$$. [/i]
[b]Have something to say? How do you like it?

hi lovesummer,
the bed looks interesting, but I think I will just settle for the old bed.
I can relax more. I'll just have my computer table near my bed.
hahah

I saw it when I was shopping for furniture for my home about two years ago.
The invention is pretty neat! And very space saving as well.
I wanted to get one for my study room so that the bed can double up as a guest bed. But I held back when I saw the price tag. It is EXPENSIVE!
But I like the idea of having such a bed though.
Maybe when I get more budget saved to re-renovate my study room, I may set one up in there just to satisfy that urge to buy it!

Why not? Anything new is open to trial for me. W can always change to our old version if it doesn't suit us.
Nice to have you back Summer. Be fine.

What sort of computer bed are we talking about? Is it one that has a desk set up across the bed so you can be typing away while snoozing? Or is it a bed in the shape of a computer that would be a pain in the backside to put into any room?
I'd love a bed that had a desk across it, because then when I couldn't sleep at night, I could get the laptop out and work away and not have to worry about falling asleep because I would already be in bed. Only problem would be if I went to roll over. Might end up tipping the computer on the floor!

The bed does not look very comfortable. I guess it would be okay if you live in a small area and needed the space.
