Just wanted to tell everyone Happy Valentines Day and ask: What are you doing today?
We are just hanging out at home with our daughters. He got me strawberries and covered them in chocolate, my favorite. He also brought me coffee when I got up. I made a card for him and have a small gift to give him later. I also got my girls each a stuffed animal and my oldest a smal box of chocolates. His son is at his mom's today but I also got him a box of chocolates for when he comes back here. There are a lot of mushy movies on cable today so we'll probably watch a few. Hope you all have a nice day.

I woke up to breakfast in bed from my younger sister. So sweet. Then later on in the evening I celebrated single awareness day with a bunch of single friends. We all went and saw "He's just not that into you" at the movie theater. All in all it was a great day. Singleness and all!

I probably won't see it until it comes out on DVD so it may be awhile. Thanks for your opinions of it though. It sounds good.

Yeah I thought it was a good movie, some parts I wished that they had cut out, but that is just because I appreciate a movie without a major making out scene. Other than that, I thought it was real close to life as in how dating seems to go. Maybe not all girls act in the ways described. But I thought it was close enough to the truth. It gives you something to think about. Let me know what you think of it if you go see it.

We stayed in and ordered pizza. I watched movies, read books, and cuddled up with my two favorite boys. We watched the snow falling outside and felt grateful to be nice and warm. Now my little one is in bed, and my hubby has abandoned me for the gym, so I'm watching a television show about murderers to pass the time until my sweetie gets home for a nightcap.

Me too. I never read but I should. My mom reads all the time, every day.

I have respect for people who read these days. With all the distractions, it's harder to motivate people to read.

I'm hanging out with my friend and drinking (not to the point of intoxication). I personally think that communities should have open house Valentine parties that singles are welcome to.

I didn't end up drinking at all. My friend and I had a great time without booze. It sucks to be single. I am working on getting over it. I no longer hate Valentines day.

Happy Valentine's Day to you too. I made you and all other members here a Valentine's card... feel free to visit http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1908022.aspx to view the card.
Valentine's Day is well celebrated here, and shops and restaurants are ever ready to cash in on the occasion with all their offers, knowing that people will part their money for dinners, roses, chocolates and gifts for their loved ones. My wife and I decided we will celebrate a week later, so we can still have our romantic night out without paying the higher prices charged on 14th. It will be worth the wait and we are looking forward to next weekend to celebrate.

That sounds like a great idea. With the economy the way it is, we should have thought of that. I hope you have a great belated Valentines day.

We didn't do anything is the spirit of Valentines, we went into work together. After we got home, my partner was overly tired from working 12 hours, we snuggled and such, I snuck off to put on something I had bough a little while back that he had not seen. He was too tired to fully play, but we still did make love, and he was amused by little outfit.

I didn't do a lot to celebrate, but I did watch a movie with my son. I am nearing the end of a semester in school, so I have some papers to write. That seems to take up most of my time these days. It was nice to spend the day with my son though. He is my Valentine this year.

I got some lovely red roses and some of my fave treats like flapjacks and pickled fish (not together, of course). Then we went out to watch a movie. I picked the Secret Life of Bees - it was brilliant. My husband was hacked off because the couple in front of us were drunk and the smell was hideous. Anway, it was fun! Then we cooked dinner together and enjoyed it around the table. Lovely day!

I was pleasantly surprised with 2 tickets to my first NHL game at Columbus, Ohio, to see the Columbus Blue Jackets play the Detroit Red Wings! My sweetie is a Red Wings fan and I'm partial to Columbus but like the Red Wings, too. Had a wonderful time, a nice dinner, and we did a little shopping, too. It was my best Valentine's Day gift ever.

I hope you had a nice day anyway. I am very lucky and wouldn't change it for the world. I have been worried about some of my mylot friends the past few days. A lot of you have lost loved one's. I now how hard valentines and other holidays can be because of that. My mom lost her boyfriend to a drunk driver. Valentines day is a very sad day for her. I wish you well everyday, LadyMarissa.

We actually ended up going out to an electronics show and sale. Kind of boring but we wanted to get out of the house. We didn't watch any movies, atleast not mushy one's. We got chinese take-out and rented movies. We watched "Horton here's a Who" with our girls then started to watch "Lakeview Terrace". We finished that one today. They were both pretty good. Hope things worked out for you when you got home. I know how strange it feels to not have the kids around when your used to them always being there.
