Repenting to whom? If you are a christian, then you repent to god, etc.
Depending on what your belief system is, depends on what you can do.
Personally i believe we can fix many situations, when we put something out in the world, it always come back like a wave. but this wave also affects others as well.
So if it bothers you, what you have done, apologize and make it up to other people, and dont forget, you need to also forgive yourself, but always take a lesson learnt from any given situation.
some people may not want to hear your apology and may not want to know you, this is part of the price that we must at time bare.
But if you can forgive yourself, and make an attempt at resolving the situation, you have more chances of living happier, because atleast you know you tried, you have learnt a valuable lesson, and you have forgiven yourself.

that all depends on what you did, but if your truly sorry and you have sone evrything you can to put it right then you are forgiven
