i know most everyone got roses & candy for valentines & i'm so glad they did. that means u are special to someone. that is certainly a good feeling to know that. i just wanted to share w/you what i got. i went to the bank yesterday & the cashier gave me a hershey kiss. lol wow! wasn't that a nice gift. it was good to. a shame it was just one. i'm just being silly. some of my friends have been fussing because i never start discussions. now u can see why i don't. lol ijust heard from my son & he's bringing my grandson to stay awhile & i couldn't have any gift that would make me happier than that. happy valentines everyone.

hello antiquelady
that was a nice surprise when you went to the bank the other day and the teller gave you a Hershey's candy kiss. yum. and i hear ya about it only being one of them. lol more please? lol i bet that your son and your grandson will bring you over something that is beautiful and special to you as well. i hope that all of you have a very nice time visiting with each other this afternoon. now, when the visit is over, then let us all know around here at Mylot what they you-all did spending time together. i went to the bank yesterday to cash my pay check and the teller did not give me any candy. Happy Valentine's Day!
take care and have a beautiful afternoon.

Well I can say I didn't get roses or candy, but I did get a card. The most PERFECT card! I don't think he could have found a better one that discribes even the way I feel about him! TO me that says he put time in and heart to reading and finding the most perfect card. Hear is what is says....Isn't it so sweet?
The front cover: I'm so glad I found you...
Inside: You and I are connected in a way that goes beyond romance, beyond friendship, beyound what we've ever had before... We're soul mates. I can't explain it. I just feel it.
Happy Valentines Day!
Isn't that just the sweetest thing in the world

It would be lovely to have a bank teller give you a chocolate - about time we got something out of them for a change! I was given a lovely card by my husband - and I was amazed, because we don't really celebrate v-day in a big way here. It was a really lovely card, and I was very touched.

I save cards too - and your comment reminded me of a very favourite one my son gave me for Mother's Day when he was about eight (I think). It had a little silver metal heart on the front, and inside, it said, 'The softest place is a mother's heart.' For some reason, it always makes me cry when I see it.

You know, I was wondering why I do not get posts from you? I wondered if something was wrong with the system as I also do not receive any notification if another friend of mine posts. Just post. I'm rubbish at posting as I can only post about something that is happening in my life right now or something that I did years ago and turn it into a discussion.
Well, your grandson is a wonderful Valentine's gift for you to enjoy so have a great visit with him.
I liked that the cashier gave out kisses to her customers. That was a nice touch. Have a wonderful VD too. Blessings

That was such a nice gesture from that bank... I hope my bank also does those type of things to show appreciation to their clients! Hehe! My boyfriend gave me a phone for valentines, that also served as his anniversary gift for me. I cried because I was touched by his gesture! He also gave me a sim whose number is same with his phone#. He was really sweet! This is borg's girlfriend by the way... -cherry

Hi my friend! 'Glad to see your discussion today! One Hershey kiss is such a sweet gift to recieve but even much sweeter is having a grandson with you on a special day such as valentine. Well, my friend I too always long to be with my twins. They are so adorable and they really add sunshine to my home. I'm sure your grandson is just the same to you. As a grandma like you, I fully understand the joy your grandson brings to you.
With regard to the gift of my hubby. I recieved one long stem of yellow rose. According to him, it signifies that I'm the only one! And a pack of sneakers, my favorite chocolate. According to him, it is for a sweeter relationship. Isn't that sweet! I love simple gifts like that! Simple but full of thoughts!

Good for you!! My hubby got me and my daughter soft teddy bears. Mine is white cause my dog is white. He also got me kisses and hot dogs. I've been craving those! And he took me to an auction and let me bid on what I wanted. I love auctions!!

It really made me smile to hear you say what you did about your grandson! What a blessing and joy he must be! How old is he now?

That's cute ha a cashier giving a hershey kiss. I remember one valentine day, many years ago. while at the camella homes marketing, being one of the real estate agents there, I remembered former senate president Manny Villar, giving each of everyone of his staff a red rose, maybe he was a congressman then, I just witnessed it but I was much flattered of his valentine gesture. Little things mean a lot. The next time, I heard he availed himself for a picture taken for every broker on valentine's (although he's always available to everyone wherever there's sales gathering)he was then a senator. I just wonder what had happened yesterday what candid valentine gift he shared with his subordinates, perhaps something special I missed. his running for president of trhe country in 2010. Nothing to do with his running for presidency maybe, he's just a real humble, thoughtful and a good looking gentleman every camella homes people(and all sales persons connected to him) love. That's valentine love and anything can be a special gift for valentine.
