Guys do you get the feeling that internet makes you feel more lonely, depressive and make you hard to communicate with other people in the real world? I am curious if this is true , cause most of my friends and relatives think this is true and i don't agree with them at all. what do you think and what is your experience with this? thank in advance.

With me, I find it a LOT easier to communicate with people online and through writing because I write so much better than I talk. I was never a particularly sociable person to begin with so talking online has never really affected me. I think conversing with people through writing is sometimes somewhat a "rehearsal" when I have to go out and talk to people in real life as, I said before, my thoughts come out more easily through writing than speaking. I also don't use text messaging on my phone because I just don't see any point in it. It is difficult to answer your question in speaking of other people. I don't have a huge circle of friends and the friends that I do have don't spend inordinate amounts of time online. I have been told by people of the older generation such as my parents that people were a lot more honest and friendly when they were my age than they are now, and their social skills were a lot better. I don't think technology is to blame fully however. It may have played a role in people tending to go through life with increasingly poorer social skills, but I think that lots of different factors have contributed to this, and therefore tend not to single out the internet.
