Do you use every last drop of shampoo?

I have this habit whenever I buy something that I use on a regular basis I always make sure that I try to use as much of it as I can before I move on to the next bottle. For instance, I was in the shower tonight and I have this container of face wash that I've been nursing for weeks. I keep squeezing and squeezing and using it as often as I can to get as much out of it as possible. I want to make sure I use as much as I can before I go and buy another thing of face wash. I do the same when I'm using shampoo, lotions or anything like that. I feel like it's so wasteful to use only as much as you can use without fighting for it and then tossing out the bottle. So how about you? Do you use everything you possibly can or do you just use what you have easy access to and then toss it?

I might take some out of the new bottle then turn the old one over on it and let it drain into the new one. If I haven't broken the lid I'll store it upside down for a while before doing that - but the last 3 bottles of shampoo I've broken the flip tops almost instantly - well, with some cat help on the first 2

I'm the same way! For instance, I'm working on merging two bottles of conditioner into one so I can toss one of the bottles. It's just easier that way.

I do try to use every last bit if I can, because everything costs so much money.

Yes I do I even add a little bit of water to get the last out..with lotions or face washes/scrubs I have on some occasions cut the end off of the tube with scissors to get the last of what left. You'd be surprised at how much that can't be squeezed out enough for another time or more.I am always excited to move onto the next bottle but like you like to not be wasteful and use all that I can.

Hi highflyingxangel - I try to with just about everything, especially nowadays. So many of us have to pinch pennies wherever we can... right?! I like to turn my bottles upside down and you can really get a lot more out of them after doing that. I even do it with my liquid laundry detergent. Jill

I use every last stinking drop. When it gets to the point where it is basically gone then I put water in the bottle to make sure I am getting even the last little bit out. That usually happens because I forgot to go to the store and buy a new bottle though more than me being the type who doesn't want to waste any.

Most of the time we are known to use about as much as we can knowing it is empty before throwing out. Especially since we are known to use more expensive brands a lot of the time as well. Personally unless it is a Shampoo or something that we really do not care for, even if it takes a while to empty one, using them up until they are empty is the Best thing for sure.

I also has the habit of using the last drop of the shampoo and the toothpaste that I buy. I think we should not waste things that we buy. I used to put some water in the shampoo bottle and shake it well and then use it when it is finished. I think I am using everything I can to use the last drop of it.

I try to use as much as I can so I don't feel like I am wasting things, but it is hard to get it all out.

Ditto! Most times, though, I simply add an inch or two of water to the bottom of my shampoo bottle and swish it around. As for the lotions, I have some containers that are almost five years old and still not empty. I just refuse to throw them away. One lotion bottle came from Bed and Bath and even though it's empty, it smells so good that I can't throw it away.

Same here I did not even read your response to it same way here, adding a little water goes a long way. I also tip the bottle upside down that way I can get it all if it is like a name brand shampoo. Take care

Yea. I try too. It's easy when it's shampoo. You just have to open it and turn it around. However, it's difficult to use the last bit of condition. I usually give up trying.

I use everything to the last drop. As a matter of fact when my stuff like shampoo or condtioner gets low I will add water to it to get every last drop out of the bottle. I mean I think I actually save that way. I think people can be very wasteful and I feel people should try to conserve as much as they can. Take care and this is a great discussion you started. Happy mylotting to you as well.

Hello friend, I am sure all of us want a good value for the money we spend on anything and shampoo bottle is no exception. I also tend to use as much of it as possible but then I do not put water into it, shake it and then use that water.

yeah, definitely, i just cant let it go to waste really lol. I normally make sure that we have enough shampoo and conditioner before washing my hair, if we haven't we'll go buy some, if we have then its fine. So, i rarely have to use the last bit because we always have some stored to use.

Yup, I would try to squeeze the last drop (paste) from it. For toothpaste, facial foam/wash, I would roll the tube until the end! And for liquids (shampoo, body gel), I would add some water to it, shake the bottle and use the mixture!

Yeah, every last drop of it! I make sure that I put the head of the shampoo upside down so that the contents all go near the opening and it'll be easier to squeeze out when I need it. Then when I'm feeling really diligent, I'd even put some water into it and squeeze it all out - that's the last time I use it before throwing it away :P Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Hi, I would pour water into the bottle so that I can access the last few drops in shampoo or shower form. As for expensive facial product, I would roll a rod along the tube to get the last few drops. Then, I can get a few more application before dumping it.

I usually do what you do, try to squeeze every last drop out of it first before finally giving up because i can't get anything out of it, and then throwing it away. =)

When it comes to shampoo, i make sure the last drop will be used. I will but a little amount of water in the container and mix it. By that way, i will be able to get the last drop. In lotions, i will put the container upside down for a period of time to have an easier access to its content. :)
