Just want to vent!

people have a tendency to judge people on first impressions. it could be this one prof has taken an unfair dislike to you. i hope not. Best idea is to throw away the negative energy that this generates in you and try and be positive and hopefully she will change her manner. it could also be that maybe she has a miserable life that she trys to hide it but it manifests itself in her reports. There is so much more to people than the veneer that we see and we seldom scratch through that surface to see the real person. whatever the reason, i hope you pass and get by this negative experience. best of luck!

All I would suggest is just stay calm and focused. Don't mess with her whne you know that she can change your grades. I also had faced a similar situation whne one of my professors just didn't want any inputs from my side. It was not that I didn't know the subject or something, but she had some ego problem or something. I somehow managed to pass her class and had to never see her again. All the best for your grade!

call her whatever you want but just remember that your future and your grade is at the tip of her ballpen

She sounds a right old so and so.She should have said what a nice change to have someone with ideas but plastic spoons split so easily try metal ones.If my son gives the teacher an idea they are very pleased but explain kindly why it cannot be done.She is not doing much for your confidence is she.Take my advise redo the work and do not listen to her bad manners,rise above it ,you will come across worse than her beleave me,do not let these people upset you ,show them how good you are and that will shut her up.take care,xx

it is funny in life how we run across people who we do not get along with for almost no reason at all! I have had professors who I did not get along with, and sometimes there was nothing I had done and I didn't understand why. I think you just have to keep showing up to class and being respectful of the teachers time, and your grades will go up... I have children,. by the way, and I have not heard that you cannot give a plastic spoon in an experiment. I thought it was safe, but people out there are always coming up with new ways to make things unsafe for children. Who knows what is next, pencils?

I have never heard this either. I had a teacher that was like this a few years ago. It wont get better, which sucks, but it will be over with soon. Good luck

Try to remain calm Smartie and do what you can to get through this class. This is only a small blip on the map of your lifetime and it will soon be over and done with. We all meet up with difficult people in school, work, or any other situation that we can cope with or walk away from. In this case, coping best you can would be a benefit for you. If she knows you have little patience with her ways, she may make it harder for you. Fool her, do your best and just get through it. I wish you well as this can't be easy!
