My brother and I are now grown, have children of our own and still love each other. Actually we always have! We are 5 years apart - the only two kids. We have never had a significant amount of rivarly and honestly jealousy is non-existent. I know my parents did a lot to foster a love between us, but do any of you have grown siblings with whom you have great relationships? What sorts of things helped this relationship grow?

I have a younger sister and we are very close and has been since she moved out of home
We argued all the time when we were kids (3 years apart). When it came to other being bad to her - I would fight for her - but at home we were not nice to each other all the time.
I don't think that sibling rivalty is something that will affect the closenes when we grow up.
My older girls (22 months apart) argues a lot, but they still love each other!

Oh yes I have a sister who is younger than me.Its always to her I turn to when I need a shoulder to cry.We have never known sibling rivalry. We were a close knit family and we were taught that we had each other to depend on in adverse circumstances .Today we both have kids but we make it a point to meet each other even though we stay far away from each other.
