Do you get annoyed when people don't think the same way you do?

I don't mean that they have to agree with your views and opinions, I just mean when you do something that you think is just common sense and obvious....and they do it completely different?
I dont know if I'm explaining it right lol! But there's a guy at work who just keeps asking me the same questions over and over, even though I have everything written down. Just keep telling him to read the notes!

my husband annoys me to no end..lol he thinks all my opinions and thoughts are wrong because they do not match his but usually in the end i'm right about most of things..lol.. But yes sometimes I do get annoyed sometimes..have you ever thought this is his way to get to talk to you as a ice breaker and he may like you but he is going about it the wrong way i guess ...i think he may like you..

I get annoyed at first, but I try to avoid a knee-jerk reaction. As a person who has always been called "different" I try to respect that people don't think or see things the way I do. But, it's hard for me, sometimes, not to react. It is probably because I was always criticized for my different ways.

I sometimes get frustrated if their way of think is so far removed from mine that we can't even fathom what each other is thinking. There are some things that people believe that I can't even imagine their logic in believing and that really frustrates me because no matter how much I explain and how much they explain we can't make any headway. I don't care if people agree with me or not so long as I can see where they're coming from.

YES!!!! It is very annoying and aggrivating when people are jsut plain stupid! it isn't that they are always trying to be ignorant they are just lacking common sense. there is a girl at my work and she DOES NOT know how to wash dishes, she always leaves them dirty it is so annoying!

I know that feeling! I lived with a girl who just used to rinse her dishes in cold water, it was so gross!

prime example tonight, she was told how to wash the dishes and that they had to be dried before getting put away or else they might go moldy (which I still think the container went moldy because of her lacking of skills in the clean dishes department) and she was shoving them all in the spot soaking wet. And I'm just training to be management so sometimes I'm just a cook right along with her, and I don't really have the right to say anything to her about it because she has been there longer than me. but c'mon, seriously it is so aggrivating, because now tomorrow I have to go and fix all of her b.s. mistakes because I'm the manager tomorrow and I will get in trouble if everything is all mucked up, then she is going to mess it all up before she goes home oye vey I need a drink!

I don't care that people disagree with my opinion as long as they respect my right to have that opinion.
What really riles me is when someone makes a statement, but cannot explain why they think that way. That means I have no chance of understanding what they are saying or thinking which can be annoying. Sad to say when this happens I often think it is because they are just repeating something they have heard rather than making their decision based on knowledge of the subject.
As for people continually doing something in another way to what is standard, that really annoys me because it shows that they are not listening to me or they are not interested in what I am saying.

yeah I don't care if their opinion is different, but I agree if they can't back it up or explain why they think that why it frustrates me

yup...but I'm not talking about topics or people having different opinions.
I mean more along the lines of people doing things different to how you would do them

Only when they try and force their thinking onto me without understanding that I think differently.

Sometimes I do and that cant be helped. Like when one spills something and doesnt completely clean it up all around. But I have to remind myself that others dont comprehend things the same way I do so they arent gonna see it the same way. Unless it is written out in a very obvious standard way to be followed

good point, it's weird when you think something is so blatantly obvious to solve or do, but then someone does it differently (or wrong lol)

I try to keep that in mind, too, the fact that there is a "learning curve" to everything and everyone.

It's funny, I was just at work and had something happen that fit this discussion. I won't go into details but I see exactly what you mean. I immediately thought of this thread when it happened.

I'm a pretty liberal and open minded person. I have set views on things, and work for political campaigns (I just finished an internship here in maryland actually), but as far as getting annoyed goes, I try not to show it when I am irritated with people. However, I won't hold back from telling someone what I think if I think they are out of line. Just as they are allowed to say what they want, I am entitled to putting them, gently, in their place.
Please see "You Also Have the Right to Tell a Bigot What You Think," if anyone can find a copy of it online. It is in my EN102 textbook "Aims of Arguement."
