What is the color of Taxi cars in your country

in the Philippines, taxis come in various colors. We do not have a uniform color. You'll just know that it's a taxi because of the sign on the roof.

Here in Houston, Texas, and surrounding cities, our taxis are sedans, SUVs, minivans and even double-cab trucks! Our taxis are every rainbow color you can imagine; the only requirement is that the vehicle have 4 doors and be 5 year old or newer (for Houston Taxis).

i am from the US. most are yellow..but we have a few local to me that are black/dark blue and some are a dark red color.most are yellow though because people identify it better with taxis.

I think in India the color of taxi changes from state to state. Now, I live in tamilnadu and the color of taxi is yellow and red as you said. But, in Kerala the car taxies are white in color and the autos are brown and black. I recently got the information that in Tamil Nadu if somebody owns a private auto, it should be painted in bule.

All the taxis here are the same, they are silver mercedes.

Back in the 90s, we had that yellow color taxi. However, taxis now should be white in color without tint with all windows. I think it's more presentable that way than that of yellow. Because i can't stop thinking of pizza - yellow cab. =)

hey i'm also from India. from Kerala to be exact. the taxis here are all white and not the black and yellow kind .All taxis are white and have yellow number plates. Thats how you recognize a taxi

In Italy once taxi were yellow. now they are white!

That is a good question. I live in the country now and we never see a taxi around here. They were yellow when we lived in the city in the United States though.

Here in Bali, the most popular one in blue taxi. But there are also taxis from another company colored orange, grey, black, white and donkers... That's so far I saw. I think there are too many taxi company here but my favorite is blue taxi. They use a brand new car from Toyota.. it's comfortable and the company is well known for it's service to the customer... So next time if you come to Bali, I will recommend you to choose blue taxi...

Hi sreejithsreenivas! Here in our country, there are yellow taxis, blue taxis and white ones. LOL..I guess, it is because the owners of those taxis have different colors to distinguish their fleet of cabs from the others.
