Do you volunteer in your community?

I volunteer for: The Christopher Reeve Foundation The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Chemo Angels The American Cancer Society The Spina Bifida Association

I do alot of community work and even run a small non profit org. my work mainly consists of indigenous issues and people. I also run and teach and after school class for kids, called indigenous studies, with kids and youth. its called little turtle school..

There aren't any places to volunteer in my community. I would have to drive half an hour outside of town to find something and I don't drive.

i work on a youth organization, we provide free computer tutorials and offer voluntary cleaning...

I just moved and so far I am part of a prayer meeting.

I volunteer with a marine mammal rehabilitation center. I love sea lions and elephant seals (okay, and even harbor seals and bratty fur seals!). It's not for everyone, but knowing how many animals get released back into the wild because of all the volunteers makes it worth it. I also volunteer doing guinea pig rescue. I am a guinea pig foster parent and help in many other ways as well. I used to volunteer with a rabbit rescue as well, but just don't have time or that much space anymore. And before that, I volunteered as a teacher's aide in children's summer school programs. I guess I like volunteering.

I use to volunteer at a Manor{old folks home} about a year ago, but stopped b/c I started online school. I miss those people :(
