What is your favorite thing to do on a lazy Sunday?

I like to do absolutely nothing on Sundays...except what I want to do. I never make plans, I normally stay home and lounge around the house. Maybe get on the computer for a while, maybe sleep all day. I make sure that I have a nice easy dinner and lunch so I don't have to stand in the kitchen all day and just normally be a lazy slob!
I like to recharge my batteries for the following week and I like to have a "me" day where I can enjoy and pamper myself.
What do you like to do on Sundays? Party? Sleep? Take it easy? Or?

Hi GEL, Sundays are designed to be a day for relaxing and that is what I do each and every one of them. Other than taking the dog out and popping to the shop for couple of bits I have lazed around and will be off to bed shortly. I nearly always have a kip after dinner on the sofa also and today littleun had earache so I just lay with him whilst Calpol kicked in and dosed LOL. I didn't today as one of my daughters was at home also with a mate but I often go down to the beach for a couple of hours. I have spent a bit of time on the computer but not on myLot, guilty of neglect in that area this week. Hope you enjoyed your day. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi Ellie!
There you are! I missed you all week! If I didn't hear from you today I was going to drop you a line!!
Sorry to hear about the Littleun! Hope his earache is better now!
I just lazed around all day doing a bit of nothing so I thought I would come over here for a few and try to get my discussion numbers up a bit but other than that I was just lazy. Had an easy lunch and dinner, watched a little TV, took A Few naps :D just a normal Sunday!
It's nice to hear you do the same. It's so important to recharge your batteries once in a while and I always like to do it on Sunday to get ready for the rest of the week when I have to hit the ground running!
Great to hear from you and as always...
Thanks for responding! ;) (I'm going to have to come up with a cute saying like you have for the end of my posts)!!

Well greenie,
You just described my favorite way to spend Sunday. Even though I'm home every day now, it's like I've spent a lifetime trying to do just that. As we all know, it doesn't always work out, but we strive for it anyway. I've been making salsa for the last 2 days and it's time to can it but up until an hour ago, I have slept most of the day. I've had a sore throat and not felt all that perky so it gave me a chance to just lay back and sleep with my favorite little guy Dexter. Happy Sunday!!!

Hi Leenie!
Look! It's old home week with you, Ellie and I together isn't it??
Sorry to hear your not feeling all that perky hope it passes soon!
That salsa sure does sound good. I love salsa and Mexican and Spanish food. My favorite next to Thai.
So what do you do with all of that salsa? Can it and use it for the rest of the year or give it away?
If I were you I'd just go back to bed with your favorite little guy Dexter and can it tomorrow. Tomorrow will always be there and if it's not then you just wasted your lazy Sunday canning your salsa! ;)
Thanks for responding and hope your computer problems are getting better!

So greenie,
What other nicknames do you have? What's the D that you and ellie use? You and Ellie are very special friends and I wish I could send you both some of my salsa. It's really good. My hubby almost every night has salsa and chips.
I think my computer is much better, I hope. xoxoxox

One of my favorite things to do on a lazy Sunday is to just stay in bed and read a really good book, or cuddle with my boyfriend and watch a great movie, though what he considers a great movie isn't what I consider a great movie LOL...he likes horror movies...ep. But I just like to relax no matter what that may be.

Ahhh yes! Those lovely, cuddly Sundays can be wonderful indeed! And I'm sure that you guys can come to some type of compromise when it comes to movies. Maybe one week his favorite and one week yours, or watch 2 in one day...one for each of you! Either way it's great that you enjoy yourself no matter what they may be!
Thanks for responding! ;)

HAHAHAHA!!! Good one Sparky! But you see, you just don't know how to do it right!! That's the problem with you having No Lazy Sundays!! Now if you will work it the way that I tell you to, then you'll be able to have your lazy Saturday AND a lazy Sunday to get over your lazy Saturday!!
The trick of it is, you Do Not have your lazy Saturday at your house! Go over to someone elses house and celebrate and mess up their house as much as you want and then when it gets late You Go Home and crawl into that big comfy bed and when you get up on Sunday...no matter how you feel, you will see a nice clean house to do what you want, go back to bed, eat etc. after all it is now Your Lazy Sunday to do with as you please and then you will smile and think of me and of course Thank Me for my magic potion!! :D :D
Thanks for responding and here's to you and your Lazy Sunday Next Week! ;)

Sundays are so boring, they have always been my least favorite day of the week. It just seems that the world seems to stop at times. In any case, my husband and I just tend to chill in the house on Sundays, playing video games and watching movies. Or we'll just work on various crafts that we have been working on. Sometimes, if we're invited to a gathering after our religous meeting, we'll go to it. That's always a lot of fun but other than that, we just stay in and relax...

I'm sorry to hear that Sunday is your least favorite day and you find them so boring but it is nice that you get to be with your husband and play games etc. and that sometimes you are invited to go out, maybe that helps ease the boredom a bit...I hope!

I like to do some light yard work, watch a little sports or a movie, and do some computer time. Also, it's a good time for me to play guitar.

Hi there,
Saturday and sunday are my favorite days in a week
It's completely and my only free days
Actually I prefer to stay at home on sunday,
But an afternoon coffee with friends would be nice too
On saturday morning I always go to the gym
Then have lunch with friends together
If I wasn't too tired, usually I spend the night with them too
Another old friends often ask me to join them on sunday for coffee
I always feel bad if I reject all of them, as almost all of us are now employed, and hard to find spare time to be together
Thanks !
:D

It's nice that you enjoy Saturday and Sunday and are able to do as you wish when you wish. I know what you mean about a lot of friends working and it being hard to get together sometimes but at least when you do it makes it that much more special!

Sunday is my favorite day of the week. I most often spend the Sundays with my family. It's bonding day for all of us. That's the time when we go to church, dine out, read the newspaper from cover to cover, clean the car, do a lot of household chores, or just watch DVDs.

I think that is just great! Do what you want, even if it involves cleaning the car etc. just as long as it is what YOU want to do. I think everyone feserves one a day a week to do whatever they want, after all you've been running around all week, done everything all week for others or working etc. so now it's time for yourself! And bonding with your family and catching up on things with them sounds great when that's your choice!

I have to admit I hate sundays. Tv programs are really not interesting and people have nothing to do. So I normally just get lazy browsing the net, take a nap or something like that. But this makes me feel a bit frustrated cause next day is monday and there is work so would be really good to enjoy the sunday.

Sorry you hate Sundays and I can understand how you would get a bit frustrated when there is nothing to do and then to know that you have to start back to work on Mondays. Hopefully you will be able to find a way to fill those dull Sundays one of these days and then you would be able to enjoy the day!
Thanks for your response! ;)

Sundays are great ays to clean the house. Spring Cleaning is coming soon for alot of people but i do that all year roung. I hate dust and seem to be cleaning alot more than some people. My sundays are great days to hit up the dollar store, good will, the outlets stores around town and even the thrift and cosingment stores. Love to bargain shop and find great deals on things. Sundays are good for alot of things.

Hi there greeneyelady. =) Good day to you. Here in my country we consider Sunday as a Family day, where we could spend our quality time with our family during that day. My family and I attends mass every Sunday, worshiping and praising God together keeps us together forever. After attending mass, we eat our lunch at the mall or sometimes at the house. That is our ritual routine. =))
Sometimes, When we eat our lunch at the mall, we also do the shopping stuff. If we will just go home after the mass and eat at home, I usually do my routine to study at a Sunday. Being a student is really hard. You need to study, to focus, and to memorize even on a Sunday!
Ofcourse, I visit and post responses to mylot at the end of the day.

Sounds like a very nice way to spend a Sunday...with Family, a nice meal and just getting together for a while. It's also nice that you spend time studying also because as you said you still need to focus on school, even on the week-ends...keep up the good work and good luck with your school!

I wish I had more lazy Sundays than I do! It seems that church, and then family get togethers afterward, take up most of mine; and the day seems so filled with interaction that I just don't feel rested. When I get the chance, reading and walking in nature are my favorite ways to relax.

Hi freelancewebdesigner!
I use to have the Exact same problem and then one day I ended up in the hospital due to exhaustion and I said That Is It!
I am also a Web Designer and I work very long hours each and every day, approximately 18 + hours each day and then I felt like I was being pulled apart on Sundays, everyone wanted a piece of me, which is very nice that people want to spend time with you, but I had no rest at all and by the time I turned on the computer on Monday morning I was just as tired then as I was when I turned it off on Saturday night.
So when I was hospitalized I knew I had to make a choice and of course I had to make a living so I had to tell my family and friends that I would no longer be spending every long Sunday with them.
They understood completely and things worked out fine. We get a chance to see each other during the week and I have my Sundays for a "me day". (One of my favorite sayings from a good friend of mine).
People just have to realize that sometimes people just need time to energize their batteries for the following week.
I hope this helps.
Thanks for responding and good luck! ;)
(by the way, since I started having Sundays to myself...I have never had another exhaustion problem that I needed to be hospitalized for)!
