Who's going to watch? I haven't previewed to see who's going to be on the show this season. I like to see it from the beginning when the show starts.
Have you previewed the racers? What does the season look like? Does anyone stand out?
Only a half hour longer to wait until the show starts. Come back here to discuss the show after it airs.

Totally watching it. This season, for the first time, there is a deaf racer. he is racing with his mom who serves as his translator. This should be interesting.

Ooh good point. I wonder how they will manage it? I hope the producers have plan.

He will probaby do the tasks that don't require him hearing things like the bungie jumping last night. I do know that they have to trade off on the challenges so the mom can't do them all.

Having someone deaf on the show could prove to be a challenge when they are separated doing tasks. He won't have his mom there to translate for him.

Thanks for the reminder. I just asked my husband if it started this week or next. I have't really seen any of the previews to see the contestants this time either.
I think it is a fun show to watch. Glad it is back on tonight.

I really wanted those blonds to be last!! I laughed so hard watching the cheese tasks! It was hillarious. I was glad that the ones that were behind- the husband and wife~ got ahead at the cheese competion. I was freaking out thinking that they wouldn't find the yodlers fast enough. Not that I even like that team, but he was smart when it came to doing the cheese task.
I like the mother and deaf son. I do think it could be harder for them. It was all up to her to find the pitstop because they had to follow the yodles. I hope it doesn't hinder them much in the competition.

I'm not fond of the "hillbilly" couple, but you are right they did do the cheese challenge better than any of the others. Of course with the editing you didn't know if they would find the yoder. And the Yoder sure didn't seem into her job. Did you see the look on her face. She didn't act like she really wanted to be there. lol

It just went off here. I won't post anything about it so it won't be spoiled for those on the westcoast. I do have my favorites and my least favorites already. I didn't mind seeing the ones go home that came in last.

This show is my favorite. I was so happy to see it start up again, and I was even happier still to see that there are no young guys in their twenties paired up. Every group seems fairly matched. Ok, some are stronger, but it doesn't seem like any particular group has a distinct advantage, which I appreciate.
Everyone had a hard time with the tasks tonight, and I loved all the scenery of Switzerland, someplace I have never been but might go someday (I have been to Europe and even the Alps, but not in that country). And I have to say that I was laughing out loud at the cheese escapade, although I am quite sure it was no easy feat.
I don't have any favorites yet, but I was glad to see the couple who left tonight go; they seemed to be fighters (with each other), and I don't enjoy that aspect to the show. Looks like it will be a great season based on the first episode. Hurrah!

It would have been interesting to see how the cheese carrying devices were to really be used. I'm sure they don't fall apart so easily when they are used by the Swiss. If so they need to come up with a better design. It was so funny to watch the guys at the botton of the hill laughing at them. You know they were saying to themselves (and maybe out loud) "Stupid Americans". My husband said he hoped they wouldn't be eat that cheese. HUM I'll think twice before I eat swiss cheese again. LOL

Thank you for the warm welcome. This seems to be a very friendly place.
There hasn't been a lot of comercials for the show here in the states either. They usually run during Survivor. Since it just started too that would be why we haven't seen the commercials.

The last two seasons I missed quite a few episodes. It's not as interesting anymore as it used to be. It seems so rigged how they keep them so close together. But I still like to watch it because of the drama and the backstabbing, lol. Unfortunately something is wrong with our satellite reception. Some channels work, some don't. Mostly the shopping channels work.. Anyhow, the main channels don't work, so I have to watch it in the re-runs once it's fixed;)

I hate it when they have the racers get far ahead of the others and then they all end up at the same place and have to wait until morning to get into park or what ever. The backstabbing is fun to watch. The editing when the racers are ending a leg is kind of irrating too. But we still watch.
Don't do too much shoping on those shopping channels. That can get you into big trouble. LOL

I've only seen couple commercials for the show too. This seems strange. I actually forgot it was on tonight until my husband reminded me. We watch it every year. We always have our favorites.
