What kind of camera do you use to take your pictures? Where and when did you buy your camera, and for how much? What are the best qualities of your camera?
Mine is a Canon Powershot (SD1000) 7.1 Mega Pixels. I LOVE the digital macro option (although most cameras have this), and I love the color settings on my Canon. I also love the fact that it seems like it has been lasting FOREVER! (Unlike my last Nikon).
What about you? Share your experiences here! :)

well, i`m not so lucky as you are. I don`t have a camera, because i know that i don`t like to carry something with me, and sometimes, i want to make some pictures and i don`t have anything to make a photo, so, i decided to buy a cellphone. Sure, that it has a camera 2Mp. It`s not too much , but it`s enought for spontaneous pics. Thouse are the best. Sure, that`s my opinion. Everybody has his/her personal opinion.

I personally love digital photography, and a camera phone just won't do it for me. I don't like how the pictures on my phone turn out - too dark, too small, too blurry (and I have an iPhone!). I paid (out of my own paychecks) $200 for my camera, but I enjoy photography so much that it was worth it for me (whereas others might not agree about the same thing for them).
Thanks for responding! :)

I have a Nikon D40, and I love it. I got my camera and lenses for Christmas '07, so I don't know the total cost of it, since he also got me the bag, extra SD cards and a high def printer. I love being able to use so many different settings depending on what I am shooting.

Nice! I had an issue with my old Nikon (but it was probably just my camera in particular) - it had a two or three second delay on taking pictures (and this drove me absolutely CRAZY!). Again, it was probably just my luck (or lackthereof) with choosing the right camera.
Thanks for the answer! And that sounds like an AWESOME Christmas present! You have some generous relatives or friends (whoever you received it from). :)

I use a digital camera now. I like taking pictures and the digital pictures are great being able to see how the pictures turned out right away is so much better than waiting to get a roll of film back and finding out you missed the shot you really wanted.

I use an Olympus (SP-320) 7.1 mega pixel. I bought it online back in 2006. I paid just over $250 (shipping included). Some of the features I like is that it has unlimited video w/sound, it's compact, and that it takes AA batteries (although that can be a bad thing as my husband usually takes 'em for his things! LOL).
I know most of these features can be found on newer cameras, but I'm happy with the one I have. And until something goes wrong with it I plan on using it as long as I can!
Happy mylotting!

I LOVE photography. I have a Canon Powershot also, but mine is the A2200 series (I think). It's a 14MP and I love it. I was torn between the Canon and the Nikon, but I'm so glad I went with the Canon. I love the toy camera features and the macro. I also use film cameras. Very cool things you can do with film. I have a Holga, which is basically a 'toy camera'. It's just a plastic camera that can get really cool effects and shots and they're cheap. You should look up the style if you're interested in photography. I also use an old film camera my grandpa gave me from the 80s. Still works like a dream though. haha It came with all the different lenses and my favorite actually happens to be the macro lens.

Actually I have two digital cameras and they are both SONY brand. But I am using SONY Stead Shot-S2100 more because the other one is being used by my son. I am happy with Sonny. It is easy to use and the pictures are clear so I am contented with this brand. Actually, I did not buy those digi-cameras. Both of them are given by my husband who loves to buy things for me.

Hi maezee... I use my mobile for taking photos. My mobile is Nokia 3110c with 1.3 Mega pixels. Right now i cant put money to buy a digital mobile with good qualities. So i use my mobile only for taking picutes anywhere. But if i go on tours i take my friend's digital cam. Its Sony companies. I dont remember the model. But it is of 5 Mega Pixels. So i enjoy taking photos with it while i go for tours.
Happy myLotting...

I have two of SLR digital camera - Nikon D50 and Canon 400D. I started with Nikon D50 (it's cost me around US$ 900) that it give very good photo result. After used for 3 years, it's give more error message during startup. When I took a photography training class, most people are using Canon. Then I just bought Canon 400D with 70-200mm lense for cheapest type SLR around US$ 450-camera + US$ 650-lense. Canon is very good on result but it's problem on focusing, handling, and difficult menu. That's reason, I still like with Nikon SLR camera.

I am using Canon EOS 450D to capture pictures. The lenses I use are EF 50mm, EFS 18-55 mm IS and EF 75-300 mm USM. They produce acceptable pictures even though not very high quality pictures like those using L lenses. :)

I've actually started a bit of a camera collection! I currently own around 20 cameras... some film, some digital. The camera I use the most is a Nikon D300. I bought it online over a year ago. It was around $1799 for just the body. (I was using a Nikon D70 before then, so I didn't need to get a lens with the camera as I already had several lenses that would work.) What sets this camera apart from the other cameras I own is definitely the autofocus! The autofocus has 51 different points and it can even predict movement! It can also focus very quickly... even in the dark!
