Hi Yessie - I used to live in PA too, actually several times. I was born in Lima but only lived there briefly, about a year I guess. Then later in my teen years we moved to Pittsburgh for about 2-1/2 yrs. Later on, as an adult I moved with my first husband back to PA in Bensalem then to Devon. I really like PA a lot. Been back to visit quite a few times through the years.

Yes, I loved PA too! I lived in Pittsburgh and also in Philly (twice in philly). I have one dog & one cat, Sunshine & Shady respectively. They are both 6 yrs old. I have a son too who is 14 (ugh - the teen yrs)!

The teen years aren't so bad as long as you keep remembering that you were one once, too! Treat him with respect but be firm, start to let go a little bit (but not too much!) and always listen to your gut and the teen years will go just fine!

Be sure to pay a few dollars extra on the principal each month! That's the base amount that you owe. Most of your payment is going to pay interest--if your minimum is $15 a month, only a couple bucks of that is paying off the principal. They do it this way to keep you in debt. Oh ya cortypants... I guess I should have realized that Cinnaminson was on the PA side cause when I lived outside of philly we used to drive right across the bridge to visit and it wasn't too far away. Forgot about that!

well my oldest is 5 years old he is all black and part himalayan, his dad was himalayan but we lost him he ran his dad's name was seti, Juniors mother was an ordinary black cat we named sheeba and now we have a little tabby his name is finnegan and he is 7 months old.

Hi winterose - It is nice to learn more about you and everyone else who has responded so far! What are your cats names & what kind are they? My cat's name is Shady and she is a calico, very pretty. You can see a photo of her on my profile page if you want to see what she looks like. She is about 6 years old. We adopted her a few years back and the vet gave us an approximate age of how old he thought she was at the time. It is hard to know for sure though. She is a real trip and just lovessss to eat eat eat! LoL

Hi Trace86 - nice to learn more about you! What do you do as a nurse? More specifically, do you work in a hospital or doctor's office? I know a friend of mine is a nurse too and she works in a hospital. She used to work in the cardiac step-down unit but now I think she works in the surgery recovery room. I've only been to Chicago once but had a fun time. We drove there back when I was in college, years & years ago, to visit a friend and we went out to dinner downtown and walked around a bit. I'd love to go back again someday to do more sightseeing in the area. Actually, now that I think of it, I believe I also went to a zoo around there too.

Hi royal52gens - It is neat to find out all of the different nationalities that people here on myLot come from. I do not have any french or german in me, just polish, swedish & czech. I think I might also have a little Scotish in me too. You said you live in the north. What kind of weather are you having right now? It is supposed to snow here tonight! Neat... we have something in common. I lived just outside of the San Francisco area in a town called San Mateo for 2 years while my husband attended dental school. We moved back to Virginia this past summer. Where in CA are you?

I grew up in San Mateo County, in a city called Daly City, next to South San Francisco. Now I live in the Sacramento area, hence the name sacmom.

I just thought this might be an interesting discussion & I seem to be learning a lot so far! I just took a peek at your profile & see you are from Oregon... have you ever heard of marionberries?... I got a taste of marionberry jelly a few years ago & it's wonderful. I discovered it is from the state of Oregon and is a cross between blackberries & raspberries... sooo yummy! Hi Javelyn - Great to learn more about you. You & your two children are the 3 J's! :) My name is Jill and my mom's name starts with a J too. LoL! I have a son who is 14 yrs old and he is sooo tall now. I am just 5'4" tall and he is now 5'11 & 1/2" tall! He is in size 13 men's shoes and has been sporting a mini mustache for some time now, which keeps getting a little thicker. I'm dreading the time when I'll need to buy him a razor to shave... NOT my little boy! :( You're so lucky, your kids are still young and you can cuddle with them still. The only tiem I get to cuddle with my son anymore is if he isn't feeling well. I used to have a co-worker who is half-filipino and half american. We're still friends but we don't live near eachother anymore so we mainly just correspond via e-mail now. Have you ever had the opportunity to travel outside of the Philippines? I've been stuck in the U.S. so far... but, one day I'll go travelling around and hopefully see the Philippines along the way! :)

Hi Jill, nice knowing you too..i get this warm feeling when someone is so nice to me. Yes we are all J in the Family! lol me, my kids and my husband as well, his name is Jeff! lol... we really did plan on naming all our kids J. Yes my kids are still young and i love cuddling them and i really love looking at them playing and running around and shouting and even when they are crying over small things...and how i wish sometimes they would remain that way because i know when they would start school and have set of friends, it would change..oh well...but it would still be a long way that is why i am savoring every moment with them! :D Well i have not been outside PHilippines sad to say hehehe it is quite expensive to travel abroad... do come here! we have great beaches and sites you would really love to enjoy...:))

Oh... I envy you so much with your knack for learning languages! I am horrible at it. I took French for a couple years in high school and barely got by. My son is taking German for the first time this year. He is in 8th grade. Where you live sounds wonderful... I'd love to visit there someday!

How much have you earned so far Ysabel? Right now, I have $4.05 but they haven't posted yesterday's yet so I'm hoping it will go up quite a bit since I was pretty active yesterday. When you post discussions and/or responses to discussions, be sure to be as descriptive as possible. Post a lot, respond a lot, post photographs in different categories. Welcome to myLot meganfan! That is wonderful that you are learning to speak a new language. As for me, unfortunately, I am a horrible student when it comes to learning new languages... I just can not seem to pick up the accents and I end up sounding like an idiot! I am also not good at memorization which does not help my situation. Being here on myLot should help you learn english. It will help you with your english recognition and comprehension skills as well as spelling too, plus you will earn a little extra money at the same time! :)

I have learned english there for one and a half year, and finished lesson in the front of February this year.I usually attend the virtual online lesson and communicate with native teacher, I think it is more important. If you want to improve your written ability, there is a written club.In the society,you can find this kind of club. The test is important, and is a door to enter a good company, but my teacher and many friends told me that communicate with people is more important. Do you know Lucica teacher? She is so popular in EF school. Oh, Do you know the Toastmasters club? Even you are not the student of EF, you can also attend the club. You can search in website and find the telephone, but you should spend some money. It is very usefull and popular,a lot of student attended the club. It is practice your leadership ability.Try it.
