ok so, when hearing tht women suffer the most from heart disease people think...what? but to me it seems right, although most men deal with physical struggles through life most women bear the brunt of the emotional and mental, they carry a big load... Yet they try to appear they have things under control, I think that all of this stress directly correlates to heart disease in women, And although, people think men are more prone to pride issues and not going to the doctor I think women might not go to protect their loved ones or themselves from knowing the truth because of the responsibilities they face.. And you knw how women hate to let anyone down What do you think? PS I AM a woman

I think that most women take care of themselves last, so this perhaps accounts for the increase in heart disease amongst women. I do agree that women carry loads of stress but I'm not sure if it is more then men or not. Perhaps it is that we're much more aware that is affecting women that it seems more so then it used to be.

Hi stacyv81! Yeah, most women if not all suffer silently and will always put up a brave face just to protect the people they love. They might have all the tears flowing down their cheeks but they always sacrifice much for the sake of others especially those whom they hold dear in their hearts. I agree with you completely. And I am a woman! Take care and have a wonderful day! lovelots...faith

Not only heart disease but also cervical cancer. And yeah you're right women are more vulnerable to that because of the emotional stress that we undergo. And most of the time we never got the chance to resolve those emotional issues. We tend to keep them all inside right? When i was in my psychology class, my professor had a story of a woman who had cancer but became better after releasing all the hate inside her. Good for her huh.
