First-time-dads-to-be are prone to put on weight and reach for the bottle during their partners's pregnancy rather than after the baby is born. A 3-year study found on average men put on 3.5 pounds and one in seven started to drink a dangerous amount of alcohol before the baby's birth to conteract stress. Men aged 18 to 40, 5.2% were depressed and anxious before the baby's birth. This mirrored the depression scores for women with 14.8 % depressed after 8 months of pregnancy.

many people say that. in fact, im getting fatter too since my ex got preggy...i hate getting fat, is there any scientific or psychological or whatsoever explanation about this? quite ridiculous, since it is the girl who should get fat, not the dad...T_T

hi tudors!
oh really? hehe then maybe my husband is not part of the general population. lol his weight has remained steadfast ever since, and he is not even on a diet or a fitness regimen. oh i dunno how to get him to exercise! lol his sister is jealous because she keeps gaining weight. lol it is just that he is good in controlling his hunger pangs. hehe
anyway, we are expecting our first baby next month and we are already very excited. she is moving around much and getting heavier each passing day. i will be 35 weeks pregnant on wednesday. so it won't be long before we can finally hold our little princess.
thanks for sharing!
take care and God bless you!
happy mylotting! :)
