who is greatest Sampras,Fed or Rafa and how they play

Who do u think is the greatest among Sampras,Fed,and Rafa.
Way they play:
Sampras- Big server.Strongest at the net.Great volley. Dominates the opposition badly.But weak at long rallies.
Fed- Good server.Average volleys.Not so strong at net. reat base line player. Believes in scoring winners. But not very consistent with the serve. Relatively weak backhand.
Rafa- Great at base life. Returne every thing that comes to his side of net.Can exhaust the opponent with never ending rallies. But weal at net and serve.
I believe Sampras is the greatest of them as he used to dominate everyone at the net, something which is a rare sight now a days.

That's a tough question. Sampras has ended his pro career, Its been quite some time since Fed has been playing and Rafa is a relative newcomer.
I think Sampras is better. He served good aces and plenty of them. His game was good. I think he had tougher opponents than Fed and Rafa. Two years ago Fed did not have any strong opponent so he got many titles. If he gets 2 more opponents like Rafa and still manages to remain No.1 in ranking then he is the best. Rafa seems to be improving all the time. We have to wait for atleast 2 years to include him in contention for all time greatest. Because most players goes through a bad patch. Some of them recover while some don't. So we have wait and check Rafa.

well said...need to check Rafa as he is the complete package in the making. But the kind of game he plays i.e. long rallies...thats going to take a toll of his body as he grows older....he already has a knee injury which seems to disturb him sometimes.....recently he lost to Andy Murry...probably for the knee injury....what say dude??

greatness is ultimately detemined by stats,and stats says federer is far ahed of everyone in the race.
