One of the Tabloid Newspapers in the UK over the weekend reported the story about a Man getting a non-custodial sentence and being fitted with one of the Electronic ankle bracelets to monitor his whereabouts...nothing unusual or particularly newsworthy about that,so far,right? Turns out the Man had been involved in a motorbike crash a few years ago,had lost a leg as a result,and had been fitted with a prosthetic limb (Guess what's coming ?!) Yep,the security company that fitted the Tag onto his leg put it on the (REMOVABLE!) metal Prosthetic Limb...The Guy SWEARS he didn't put on a spare Limb and break his curfew...but I bet He and his friends are still laughing!

The police should feel like idiots. If it happened to me, I'd detach my leg and leave it sitting in the living room. Then I'd hit the road laughing the whole day. I may even go on a vacation just for the hell of it. Monday, it's in the living room. Tuesday it in the kitchen....ect.

I can't believe how someone,presumably accustomed and trained to do this Job could fit one of these things to someone and not realise it wasn't a "meat" Leg they were working with..! BTW..they did mention in the story that it wasn't Police that did the fitting,but a contracted security company..
