Accounting in Small business

Well, having your own business is really something right? But if you are just a small time business person, do you still have to know accounting. I never had classes in accounting in my college years. Too bad for me.

of course you need accounting even if you only have a small business. how can you know if you are already profitting if you dont organize everything. i mean, learn to study the basic accounting of taking down the capital less all the expenses and boom, you'll see if you have profits or if you are deficit. dont worry its only simple to learn. good luck!

No, we can take our checkbook stubs and bank deposit stubs to the accountant and they do it all. You must make sure on the checks that you list what you want them posted to, like office supplies, cleaning supplies, utilites, merchandise, etc. Of course they charge for this, but at the end of the year they do not charge to do the taxes, it all works out in the end. They also do my sales tax reports and payroll reports.
