what is your opinion about online friendship?

Generally my opinion is that the online friendship is not everlasting.Though we come to know about new persons through online we do not know the complete details about them.Generally we can become friends to those who are similar to our taste and avoid strangers.

I have one experience on online friendship. I know a senior lady from an online forum. We started to chat a lot, even we know the identiy each other. However, as you have said it will not last very long. The problem is that we need to have a continuity in using internet. If we have some idle time (say 1 month), we may not realize that we ever know that someone.
