I have been seeing questions and doubts that using a blogspost blog or free hosting service from blogger.com is not possible to make money from Google Adsense. A lot of bloggers therefore are suggesting that Wordpress is better. While it can be true that using a nice theme with a lot of plug-ins can attract more visitors, it does not follow that you can easily make money from Google Adsense. On the contrary, I believe that uglier blogs (blog with Google Adsense almost scattered everywhere) can be better especially when the keywords are well optimized and it has tons of backlinks. These are the only ways to make your blog be on top of Google. Therefore, using an attractive theme is only optional and not really a requirement to make money online. For all you know, the best way to make money from Google Adsense is to have a very high search engine traffic. This is where the real ad clickers are. Traffic from social sites do not click ads, because they don't need them. You don't click ads of your fellow bloggers, do you? If you do it frequently, the poor blogger's account may be suspended due to suspected click fraud. Anyway, just to prove to you that using blogspot to make money from Google Adsense is possible, I suggest you check this site - Grizzly's How to Make Money Online for Beginners http://makemoneyforbeginners.blogspot.com/ Furthermore, if you will Google the phrase Make Money Online or Making Money Online, his blog is always on top which proves that Grizzly is really making money. By the way, he also admits that he is not using his real identity on that blog. I realized it when I read this good review about him - Can You Make Money Online by Hiding your Real Identity? - http://www.notmakingmoneyonline.com/archives/can-you-make-money-online-by-hiding-your-real-identity.html But more importantly, he is sharing a lot of useful tips about making money online especially to beginners. Lastly, you will be surprised to see that his posts are very few - 6 posts average per month. Isn't that amazing? However, you must be patient to read his long but quality contents. Good luck!

Do you have a personal preference for blog sites?

If you're asking me the topics I like in a blog, then I don't have one. Any blog that has unique, interesting, and useful content will do. In fact, I am subscribing to a lot of different blogs because I want to learn more. Although the looks may be amazing, I really don't put that into consideration. Grizzly's blog is very simple but very informative, as well as the other blog I mentioned above.

Nice topic here. I just browsed grizzly's site for a while but I bet I visit it again. I also wanted to learn a bit of SEO myself.

It seems that you really have to put your effort and make sure that what effort you exert into a blog is the right one. I have my own blog but it is more personal in nature and still lacks the content it needs. Still have a lot of work ahead of me and lessons to be learned... Will definitely read more of this blog...

Yes, I am putting all my effort because this is now my bread and butter. By the way, it's nice to have a personal blog but it's not easy to make money from it. Here is a not so old post that I found entitled Making Money Online from a Personal Blog. It contains the problems that you might face, and how you can possibly solve them. Here is the link - http://www.notmakingmoneyonline.com/archives/making-money-online-from-a-personal-blog.html Hope that helps.

Hi, I found Grizzly's blogs over a week ago and he has the best blog I've read about making money online. I have saved his page as my favourite as he has so much information for complete beginners. I started off my blog last week but haven't been bothered to carry it on. Do you make money from blogging?
