do you think it's safe to put your pictures on your profile? i have my pictures on my profiles but i don't really think that it is safe. because allot of details of a place that you may live near or your house might be i those pictures. some profiles have on them you city and state which i think is more dangerous. i think that is half the reason that some kids are abducted and some killed. some pictures have family and friends. some may just be your child. anyways i don't really think it's a good idea to let anyone know that info. but then again i can't really say much because i do have pictures and info on my profile. even thought it doesn't have your actual address on it doesn't mean they cant find you or your house. be safe every one and have a blessed day.

Yes i feel that posting pictures online is not safe. If you want to send your pictures to your friends and family it is better to send them by e-mail of some file transfer program and make sure that they only can see them.

hence why mine doesn't have a familiar picture, lol.... plus mine doesn't say where we live.

I put pic in my profile but I watch what I put on my profile because your right there can be a lot of info in a pic that can tell where you live. So I think if you watch what kind of pic you put on your profile then every thing will be fine. But if you don't watch then I think a person can get a lot of info from one or two pic that are on you profile,I have pic of flowers and fairies if you look at my pic there is no kind of info you can get from them, you can also put some pic of you family if you want to but no pic of the out side of your house and no pic of street signs that just more info on where you live.

. I think it is safe to put your pictures on profiles as long as you know your responsibilities and limits when uploading pictures here on the net.
Some people here in the internet often grab pictures from others just to pretend or hide their identity. What is wrong with those people?
Just limit yourself from posting pictures. Honestly I admit that I am a vain person. I really like taking pictures of myself, and I upload it here in the net but I make sure that only my friends and known people can view those pictures.

i am gonna say, i would rather not put my pictures on profile. Though the net provide us with a good sharing way. It is not neccesary to us to upload our pictures.like ohters have mentioned, it is not safe. You can share, however you must never care about your own safety and your friends' and your family's. If I have to upload any pictures, i will make sure there are not so many secrets inclued in it.

it's safe when u r linked with ur friends only whom u know very well...when u make a new friend whom u don't know, then he/she can do some damage with ur photos...so better to keep in link with only known ones & always use privacy/security lock, so that only those with whom u wanna share ur photos can view...[:)]

It depends on the picture your using I guess..Better used picture with less background or you can edit it yourself. Its your choice if you want to reveal or hide your personal details especially your name, address and etc. since it is dangerous and someone can steal your identity and worst you can get abducted as you said.
I'm using the same picture and less exposure to environment because they could trace my place for sure..hahaha..
