Toxic Dryer Sheets

So since I'm not yet at 500 posts I can't put the link on here. I was watching tv a week or so ago and whatever talk show i was watching was talking about toxic dryer sheets. I was flabbergasted. Apparently these tiny sheets that i put in my dryer with every load are hurting the environment and my family. As far as i know people have been using these for years. i guess just like everything else were learning about the environment, these should no longer be used? Does anyone have any suggestions for alternatives? Do you believe we should even stop using them?

I'd be intrigued to know how so...is it the chemicals, the way we dispose of these, what is the true issue? I haven't heard about this and am intrigued...instead of researching (like I do for school every day) I'd be eager to learn more from your experience reading this article :) We do much damage to our environment, I believe dryer sheets are probably the least of our concerns. But...every little bit helps!

i hate that i cannot paste anything on here yet. They said the sheets are impregnated with chemicals that are not good to use or the environment and this makes the fumes also toxic.

I bought some cloth dryer sheets that you can get at the hardware store that you just use over and over again. They work pretty well. I found that those dryer sheets left stains on my clothes, believe it or not.
