hello everybody here at Mylot. what do you-all do with your Mylot email notifications that you recieve each day? do you try to stay on top of them responding to one after another when recieving them? or do you have a Mylot email folder by itself? i have just created myself a Mylot email folder that i put all of my Mylot discussions into that i recieve from all of my friend's here. then in my spare time, i do read and go through all of the discussions that i recieve and i try my best to respond to each and every one of them. if i find that i cannot make a decent response to a discussion or have no idea what the subject of the discussion might be, then i will not respond to it. so tell me, what do you-all do with all of the email notifications that you recieve from all of your friend's here at Mylot? thanks for sharing and have a beautiful afternoon.

I open all the notifiers in the order they arrive. I go straight back and answer responses immediately. I open the notifiers of new discussions and read what it's about. Then I either respond immediately, delete it if I'm not interested in the topic or I open it, go to the user profile and open the discussion and bookmark it in a folder 'myLot later' and get back to it when I have time. I don't reply from the notifiers because I prefer to read all previous responses before adding mine.

the only notifications that i get in my email is when some one comments on my response, and when someone post a response on my discussions. i also get message about getting voter for the best responses. most of the time i really dont read the message unless their the best response or someone comments on my response. if i get messages about people responding to my discussion i tend to login and read them that way.

Well I get far too many to respond to them all.. typically a couple of hundred every single day, so I don't normally keep them all. I will read them all, but only respond to the really important ones, or the ones that have asked me a specific question about the discussion. I would be here forever and a day if I tried to respond to everything, so I don't even try and be superwoman anymore, I just do what I can.

I just skim over them and then delete. If there's something I want to reply to, then I do it at MyLot. I don't currently have a folder for Mylot because it isn't necessary right now. I have an address specifically for MyLot and similar sites.

I do try to stay on top of the email notifications and try to clear it everyday, otherwise I wouldn't be able to keep up! Once I was out of town and I thought I got like 200 email notifications from mylot in 3 days and I was like, "oh my God!". I had to sit for a few hours to clear them slowly.

Hi TnWoman! I usually respond through email notifications from friends. However, my email notifications until now is piled up and I have a lot of catching up to do. I don't delete this email notifications unless I have responded to them and just like you, if I can't make a decent response or have no idea at all, then I won't respond to it at all but will delete the notification. I do read each one of the notifications and will try my best to respond to each and every single one of them if I can. Take care and have a great day! lovelots..faith

I'm not employed right now so I'm usually at my computer writing articles. I check the mail about once an hour and reply to all the myLot email notifications and then delete them. I have a LOT of spare time!

I try to get to all my notifications when they come in. I check my mail a few times a day, and so long as I have nothing else going on, I'll sit down and respond to everything I get in my mail, if I can. There are times when I do fall behind, although not often. In times like that I'm choosier about what I respond to and what I don't, but for the most part I'll respond to just about anything, so long as I have something to say.

Hello Tn! After being here only a few weeks I have already had to change my notifications twice because I was just getting too many. I only have notification turned on for two or three people (and you're one of them!) because my inbox was full everyday! Now I just get notifications for friendship and a few peoples discussions and it's working out well for me. Thanks for the questions and have a lovely day yourself!

I rarely check them, but when I do, I respond to what I need/can respond to and delete them after I 'm done.

I go through what I can and respond to discussions that I understand and can give some positive feedback on or delete if the discussion is about a technical issue on computers or something of that nature. I don't have a special folder where they are placed but instead leave them on my regular email account. Since I use aol, I can only handle 1,000 emails so anything beyond the 1,000 will be blocked. What I have to do in time is delete alot of the older discussions. Right now I am close to 600 so it's time to delete some of the older discussions. I feel bad having to do this but I don't have enough hours in the day to respond to every discussion from members on my friend's list.

I don't start many discussions and I also monitor only a handful of friends' postings as in turn notification on for them. So the number of notification emails I get from myLot is quite manageable. Once I clear these posts, I usually delete them from my mailbox. For you, I guess you should keep a dedicated mail folder since you are very busy on myLot initiating so many discussions, so you are bound to get many emails in your account.

Hey TnWoman! I try very hard to keep up with my mylot email notifications every day. If I can't answer them the same day I usually will have to delete them. I don't like having to do this but I get close to 100 email notifications every day. I prefer for them not to build up so I do try to answer them the same day. I know that if I can't answer them that day then I am better off deleting them because they will only pile up and I will never be able to answer them.

Well, i do it rather differently.. 1. I just do a daily check on my discussion, responding to all comments on my discussion.. 2. delete all such email notification 3. deal with the rest.. =) Most of the time, i couldn't even catch up with these email notification, that i just mass delete them and go to bed.. =(
