Scarves? The New Trend for Men?

I love fashion and I like to be on top of the new trends even if I don't participate. But when did scarves blow up for men? I remember a time when the only men you'd see wearing scarves were business men. But today, I see all types of men wearing them. And not just regularly thrown over the necks either, they are wearing them very fashionably. From the color which is no longer the basic colors of black, gray, and blue but funky colors and very nice designs. When did this happen? How did I miss this trend?

I'm a guy and I hate scarves, even in the coldest of weathers I won't wear a scarf, either for warmth or for fashion, although having said that I never follow the fashions, I wear what is comfortable and suits me, not because we have to be sheep and follow the pack! I find scarves uncomfortable and they make me itch and are too warm, I own one which I got bought one Christmas, I don't think I've ever worn it, I think I put it in my drawer and it got buried, never to be seen again LOL!
