Well, I never thought that I belong on the cover of a fashion magazine. But, I saw this video and just had to share it with you. This video, is part of Doves Campaign for Real Beauty and it shows us what beauty really is.
Ok here is the link. I have said enough until after you watch the video. I think you will be as surprised as I was... watch it to find out how you too can be a fashion model on the cover of a magazine.

I didn't need to watch the video as I am Familiar with Dove's real beauty campaign. it's have been going on for couple of years now, and we can't help but respect what they are trying to do, although it's obviously not enough but they are doing their part and not making the situation worst. hoping one day cosmetic companies will learn from Dove

I love the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty and have followed it from its intial controversial introduction. What is taught by the campaign is self-esteem and to recognize our own individual beauty as women. This challenges all of us to see beauty beyond the conventional or media inspired version of beauty. It is a movement that is pivotal for women and appreciates the true spirit of women. The Dove Campaign is the message we want to bestow on all women, old and young, and it challenges the impossible standards imposed upon us by media. Through this campaign we are moving towards a place where all women are beautiful in their entirety and we can celebrate being a woman without having to seek a perfect ideal. Thank you Dove for seeing what a being a woman is and should be and to have the courage to challenge mainstream media to get this crucial message heard.

Hello friends, I used to work in the beauty industry. If people are really so concerned about the images that are portrayed to us by the media concerning real beauty. They need to begin writing letters to magazine editors, basically stating that we are tired of being fed a bunch of lies concerning real beauty. Once they realize that we are no longer going to buy into the lies and quit buying the magazines they will stop producing it. I do believe that when you send a letter, you are sending a strong message to the people in charge and saying that you are not going to tolerate it anymore.

Ugh that is horrible. Real women do not look like that after all of that manipulation. People really have a skewed image of beauty with all of these magazines and tabloids. Though even with this campaign I am sure nothing will change, magazines and all of that will still be the same. Even the prettiest models have manipulated photos. I would hate to be a model and see them editing my features in my pictures, as if I wouldn't have enough image problems with weight, etc, heh. Well anyways, thanks for sharing, happy mylotting, and have a great night!

You got it! That is the whole point behind the campaign real women do not look like that... I think the national average is 3% of woman who have a model physique and the rest are so unhappy with themselves they almost die trying to be thin or alternately bury themselves with food. All because as women no matter how we look we don't think we are beautiful enough.
Thanks for the resopnse.
