Don't you wish that mylot would give us a chance to edit our response after we've posted it just like in other forums? There are times when even if you read your response before posting it there are still some typo errors that seem to escape your eyes. You see them only after you've posted it. It happened to me quite a number of times so what I did is to correct it by posting a comment. So, what's your take in this?

Yes it happened to me before I just joined here. Now I already aware of it. I will see to it that it would be written correctly before I posted it. Though it can't really be avoided but seldom it would happen already...

Yes, it would be better if there is such a feature, since usually it's too late before we realize that we made a mistake in the discussion.

I totally agree with you. We can make many mistakes at a single time and see such mistakes while reading only. Sometimes we make some disgusting mistakes and we are very much eager to change it. Also there are some cases where we regret for posting and don't want others to read it anymore. So I think, not only editing the responses but also its better if we are able to delete the responses. No matter our sum in our account decrease accordingly.

Absolutely. It would seem like an obvious function to offer, where accuracy is important. If I spot an error I've made, I'll post a comment with the correction. When your trying to generate alot of posts, errors will be frequent. An editing function definitely has my vote

Yes... this does bother me... but I have sort of got used to it.
I think mylot prevents us from editing because of the payment generated by the post. If you edit your post... mylot would need to update the payment. And its program cannot do that.

i am not a member of other forums so i can not answer to that. i wanted mylot to have an edit box of my own started discussion. sometimes i forget to say something or forgot to elaborate on a certain subject. then only realizes that when someone responded already. that is what i think mylot can need.

There are times I feel guilty of my responses because of not thinking it at first or I am so straight forward. But it is where the learning sets in. Now I am very careful in sharing my opinion so as not to offend others. I always wanted to have good discussions. And not to cause any one any trouble.

There is at least one positive point in not having a chance to edit our response after we have posted it. It 'forces' us to be more careful and not to act n haste. I have made mistakes in the past and they were all due to my carelessness. Not having a chance to edit have made me more vigilant on what I type.
One of the possible effects of being able to edit is the reworking of posts. Imagine the situation where the first few people read something which brings out a different understanding while after being edited the post is understood differently by the others. A discussion could become chaotic.
all the best,
rosdimy

When I say edit, I only refer to correcting the typo errors we've made. I, too, am careful in what I post but there are times that when you proofread what you typed some typos escaped your eyes. I always proofread what I type but there are times that i don't see other errors, errors that I see after posting.

yes, most forums elsewhere have the edit function. since i am the kind to people who always makes typo, it would be something I really need. I hope that your voice could be heard by the staff here and add such a useful function.

Well i think we can suggest that to them and that it will be an additional feature to their site. It will improve them more since a lot more users will come and use this site.
I also like the idea of editing the posted items since some users might be using a browser who does not have a spell checker of a corrector that's why they get to type wrong spellings.
What i also like to add as their added feature here is that they should be posting in a certain folder like segregate the similar topics on forums so that redundancy can be eliminated. i have seen a lot of redundant topics here, sometimes i post too since i can't see who posted this certain topic or who already created a topic like this or that.

Regarding redundancy, may I suggest that you use the search function before starting a discussion. The search function of mylot is very efficient unlike in another forum wherein their search function seems to be useless and they don't allow double threads. But mylot's search function is very useful. Even if your keyword is too short, say it consist only of 2 digits, you can still get results.

I would LOVE that! That has always been one of my biggest gripes. There are times I proofread, and STILL don't notice errors! I only see them after I post it. It seems like there should be a way to edit posts after the fact!
