Sometimes people will say something that is not their true feeling for kindness, just like white lie. Also sometimes one will join conversation that he/she do not have interest in order to catch other's attention or keep good relationship with them.
For example your colleagues are gathered talking something and you do not interested in it. In this situation will you leave without any words or join their consercition?

as for me ,it depends.
if people who i think we can be good friends, i will join them even their topics do not attracts me.and i will try my best to think out some interesting things to catch their attention. because i believe we can find same topics finally.
if people who i think we can not be friend, whether their topics are interesting or not, i will leave and do not join their conversation.
this is my personality.

I don't join in on conversations I'm not interested in. I also don't post on things I'm not interested in. I don't think friends should just post because their friend is posting. I also don't think friends should say things they don't believe just for the sake of the friendship. That to me isn't a real friendship.
