As I have mentioned in my previous discussion, I wish there is a mobile version of mylot, just like Yahoo!, friendster and other sites that we can still surf even when we are on the road, far from our computer. I am disappointed that using the pre-installed browser in my phone, I can log-in to mylot but I couldn't see or read the discussions.
But now that I have installed Opera Mini browser in my phone, I can do almost everything. I can now read the discussions, post some responses, check my earnings for the day, And as a matter of fact, this discussion of mine has been posted using my smartphone.
One says that it is too expensive to use mobile phones to surf the net. But if your phone is wifi ready, then all you have to is go to a wifi zone, like in a coffee shop, etc.
My very first discussion posted using my mobile phone.
Happy posting everyone!

Yes best, all I need now is a free connection through a wireless router, a wifi zone. Wifi zones are not everywhere, but you can find them somewhere like coffee shops, malls, etc. Most are free to use but you have to ask permission and request for password... Miss yah too...

I think that would be a great idea.. then people who are homeless living in their cars, at night could participate on mylot... to earn money...as well as give their insight and help, and earn money while doing so. - DNatureofDTrain

but neil my hubby said the wifi works if you are only inside the city or you are inside airport.do you think it works in Bohol too? since we are living in Jagna and the internet cafe is very slow so we need to go to in Tagbilaran to check e mails and bank.so your idea of surfing the net by mobile home and no payments is great! you dont mind to clarify?

If there are wifi zones, meaning a computer is connected to internet using a modem and a wireless router to share the internet connections among available computers or laptops or mobile phones with wireless connectivity. We are just sharing the connection and the one who owns the computer and subscribed to a dsl or broadband connection will pay for the service.

hi neildc,
wow this is posted using your phone? that's good.
I have opera mini pre-installed in my phone. I used to use it browsing this site.
I guess I have to try to go to a wifi zone. does it mean you won't be charged by your service provider? currently, I have smart as my provider, and they charged 30 pesos for 30 minutes, if I am not mistaken. if you are in wi-fi zone, will this charge be waived?
just asking.
thanks

Wifi means you are just sharing an internet connection, and your phone will connect tru wlan. you will not be charged by smart if you use the internet tru wifi. I guess Bo's Cafe are wifi zones and all you have to do is request a password from them. Good luck.

Hi, your way of thinking is good that mylot should have mobile version also but do you think it will work out as you said you could browse when you are out side in some restaurant etc, but well typing the mobile on matter for once or twice is good but in long range you think it will be too hectic to use daily mobile for mylot

Of course, using mobile phones cannot be compared to computers. Aside from the screen size and keypad. But there are some phones that have larger screen and features a full keyboard like you are having a computer keyboard. At first it would be uneasy using the phone's keyboard but in the long run, you'll get used of it. Further, surfing the internet and posting mylot discussions will only be in some emergency situations...

Oh yes my friend, my eyes are some kinda problematic now. Maybe it's because of the age and being so hooked to computers and phones.

ya a mobile version of myLot would be a better option, as most of the tech geeks are on the move ealways and prefer ultimate freedom in terms of mobility in browsing the internet and using sites like myLot.
