Help ! My window vista got expired !

I dont have computer before but i have laptop now. They installed Linux Ubuntu inside. I cant operate it, so i went to my friend who can help me to install window vista. I did it on half of December and last night i've got expired window vista. I want to ask u, all of windows must to update someday or maybe i got installed not full version? Is that work on computer only or in laptop too ? How to update it? Help me plis.

If you installed on Dec, and it expired just now, I"m guessing that you didn't activate it. I"m not sure if there's any version of Vista that's not full version, all of the editions of Vista (Home, Home Basic, Business, Ultimate etc) either comes in OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) version or full version.
Did you install a trial version?
You'll need to buy a licensed copy, install it from the media (DVD) and activate it.
