The last class that I had to take for my AA degree and I failed it!

Hi folks. Some of you are aware of my continuing epic to gain my AA degree and then my BS degree. The last class that they hit me with was a doozy. Algebra 1b (formerly known as Algebra II or pre calculus algebra.) Long story short I was failing the class through most of the course, but not by much. So I crammed for three days before the test trying to beat the information into my hard head. So Sunday I logged into the test at 4pm and 6 hrs 56 minutes later I found out that I failed. What makes it harder to take is that it is all I needed to do to finish my degree. Now I have to find another solution and the money to fund my new route. This is a disaster!!

I am so sorry to hear that. You can always retake the course, but you don't have that much money to fund your courses right? I heard that on the radio, due to the economic downturn, college loan wasn't that easy to get. So, you might consider working a several part - time to get your money ready. At the meantime, prepare yourself with all the failed courses you took before, try it self - educate a little bit. When you take them again, you have better preparation for tests.

Algebra isn't the easiest subject to understand, and it sounds like you took it on line. I tried that once and basically it was trying to teach myself Algebra. I took it again on campus, and that helped, but what helped even more were the little tutorials you can find on YouTube. For some reason the guys on YouTube were able to explain things in a way that made sense. PurpleMath.com was also a big help. Don't give up...you're too close to having your AA.
