What do I do with the contact number of a dead person?

A friend of mine recently died in a motorbike accident. It was one of the greatest shocks of my life, even though I had not talked to him for quite some time. So; I have him listed in my SIM phone book as 'The guy who is with xxx' xxx being his ex girlfriend with whom he had broken up a year ago. From a year ago till now, he was dating another friend of mine, though I only found this out during his funeral.
What do I do with his contact number? And I find it silly having him still listed as the bf of his ex.
Suggestions?

Sorry to hear about your friend. I would delete the contact number if i were you but if you nothing to remember about your friend except for the phone number, you should problely keep it.

Then try not to think about it to much, it'll only make you sadder. I think its good that you've accepted it, some people never get over it.
