Not all rich people are famous and not all famous people are rich. Wealth and fame are the two things that most people want to have. If you were to choose either of them what would you choose? Would you want to be rich and live an anonymous life or would you want to be famous in people's eyes and live a simple life in poverty?

I would like to be rich, but not famous. In fact, fame is something that I detest since it will be an infringement on my privacy. I like to be left alone at times and a famous person will never be left alone. Always, there will be someone or the other near him.

Hello nikky28! I would rather be rich but not famous. If I have a lot of money, I don't want to let other people know. Aside from it's dangerous, I don't want to brag to everybody how rich I am. All I want is to have a comfortable house, good family, and money wouldn't be my problem anymore.

To be rich or famous, it cannot be realized of not beacuse of happiness. For me it depends where a person is at peace and fulfilled. To be rich but not happy is not living a life as a gift. Happiness doesnt only into laughters and pleasures of life. Happiness may be achieved by good acts like being faithful to God, family, friends, to work and nature.

I rather be rich. I would hate to be known by everyone. Unable to live a private life afraid a camera may be lurking.

if I had a choice I would be rich and live an anonymous life.
I would not want to be famous, never having any privacy, having people take picture of you doing anything and everything, having people going through your garbage, and God forbid trying to black mail you with photos like they did poor John Travolta

What's the doubt yar?
I will definitely chose for becoming rich. Then fame will surely come behind it.
Thats the most common logic between fame and money.

Rich and live an anonymous life.
At times my heart does go out to those paparazzi favourties. They can't go anywhere or do anything without having some breathing space. But there again, they are rich BECAUSE they are famous.
But to answer your question, i have to choose either one. And i'd rather be rich and not famous. What's the point of being famous when it doesn't do you any good but bring in loads of inconveniences? IF i have to be inconvenienced but at the same time gain (monetary) i would have to grit my teeth and swallow the bullet. But if i don't get any gains, that what for?

Actually both have advantages and disadvantages. And we all know about what are these, so I'm not going to elaborate it anymore. If I were to pick, I'd be rich. Not because I'm a greedy person, but I can help the unfortunates with my money, which what I actually want to do. I don't actually care about being famous, if I want to become one, I don't like the fact my life will be a public own. I care about my private life and I don't like to be judged as who I am not. But nothing better having a simple life and with that you could help people by any means as long as you can.

Rich. I love to travel and its hard when there is no money! Plus, I feel sorry for most of the famous people who have people following them around and having absolutely no privacy. That would drive me completely insane and I see pictures of some of them that should not be shared with the entire world. I hate the way people follow their lives like its a TV show - its their life!

I would prefer to be rich, but rich in spiritual, physical, emotional blessings from the Lord. I don't desire to be rich in money because that is what Jesus compared to what man may serve, God or money. It is not wrong to be rich or desire to get rich if the motive is to love money, that is the root of all evil.
I don't desire to be famous too. I keep a low profile as much as possible. Free from media and the world. I would not swap my life to being famous nor rich if i don't have a personal relationship with Christ, it is all nothing. I will never gain anything, i will be the biggest loser in the whole world if Christ is not with me.
God said that if you choose to follow him, you have to prepare for three things, Trials, Temptations and Tribulations. God didn't die for you to be rich, He is talking more about Spiritual things in our life since we don't need to store treasures here on earth but in heaven. Matthew 6: 19-21, 1 John2:15

if I could be truley happy then yes but I call happy being able to walk down the street.Go for a meal ,buy clothes on the high street. My family and kids being able to feel safe and not worry about security or kidnap or being burgulars.I don't think I would like to be rich and famous really, normal life is where I am happiest we would all like a bit more money but not at the point of loosing your liberty.

It is a debate that has been going on for years and years. With the passage of time, my answer to this question has kept changing. In today's world, there are millions of rich people and all of them are not famous. And the converse is true as well. However, you would notice that once a person becomes famous, he can become rich if he knows how to cash in on his fame. Hence, I would prefer to be famous first, so that I can pave way for wealth :)

I'd rather be rich and anonymous. It is better to be unknown because if people would know that I am rich, it might endangered my life too. Another thing, I don't want to be famous because most famous people do not enjoy the simple pleasure of strolling at the mall without people going after them, cameras following them.
