Gus is a 9 year old Boston Terrier that I've had for 8 years. I got him just after his first birthday in August of 2001. He's a happy boy now but had a traumatic puppyhood--his owner was murdered and the sheriff found him near the body and took him to the Boston Terrier Rescue Society. It was love at first site for us! I have another rescue but she's upstairs in bed right now! Will you share a picture and a story about your dog? I'd love to see them!

I would love to share a picture but we haven't yet reached the 'get a puppy' stage. I think I've almost got the other half convinced, we're to the point where if I came home with one he would be pretty happy rather than really angry. A Boston Terrier is actually my first choice but I don't really feel right buying one from a pet store or even a breeder. I want to adopt a dog in need but you don't really see to many Boston Terrier puppies at the shelters here!

You can also try petfinder.com. There you can enter the breed of dog you are looking for and you zip code and it will search all the shelters nearby for that dog.

I woud love to show you a picture, but I don't think I have enough post yet to add a picture. There is no option on my reply screen, to post a picture :o(. Also, I just realized that I am in the dog catergory and my furbaby is a cat :o). I would love to have a dog, but I can't right now. Your little baby is beautiful!

I LOVE cats! Unfortunately, I'm deathly allergic to them so I can't have one. My kitties are the strays in the neighborhood, I feed them every evening in the winter (they don't seem to need or want it in the summer) and some of them like for me to talk to them. I can't touch them but they purr while they eat if I'm on the porch and I talk to them.

That is horrible to be so allergic. At least you get to enjoy them in some way! I am actually allergic to dogs, not deathly, but just miserable allergy allergic. So, I still plan on adopting a dog when I can. I also wanted to say I think it is great that you chose to rescue your dogs, there are so many that needs homes.

Max Dog - Here's the old girl.
Here's my old Max girl. I love her bat ears. She is my first dog and the best. She is so behaved and never chewed anything up she wasn't suppose to. She let the kids play on her and is just the perfect the protector as well. We found her wandering around the school my husband worked it. She was, of course, very hungry and we took her in. She's smart one. She's 11 years old now. As you can see she has some grey around her muzzle now.

I think you have to have a certain number of posts too, but I can't remember if it's 100 or 500.
