Some say that the cotton buds when pierced inside the ears makes the wax hard though it gets out some wax outside. The hard wax which accumulaes might be one of the reasons to the hearing problems in future.whatz your say?

Yes, I do think that it pushes the ear wax back and is harmful. I myself use Hyrdrogen peroxide mostly but will sometimes use just the cotton swabs.

I could see were cotton buds could push ear wax future into your ear. The reason I say this is because my son was telling me about having to go get his ear flushed out because he has to wear ear plugs all the time and the wax was being pushed further into his ear and then the wax hardened. So if ear plugs can push it in I would think that the cotton buds could also. As for as it being safe they say that is not safe to stick anything in your ears.

I think cotton buds are not safe when inserted too much into the ear. When cleaning the ears you have to clean the outerpart with cotton buds, since it may harm the ear, however I don't know how another easy way to clean wax from the ear.

I have heard the same thing about the cotton buds but I haven't stopped using them. I know that some of the wax in the ears help to protect from hearing problems so it is important to use cotton buds carefully, not inserting them too deep in the ear. I have found out that making the cotton bud a bit wet helps to clean the ear better then using dry cotton bud.

You have got it spot on, friend. Cotton buds feel nice to poke clean your ears with but in the long run they do affect your hearing ability in a negative way. Even doctors advice to avoid using cotton buds for cleaning up your ear.

I think that cotton buds are safe as long as you only be careful of using it on your ear canal and not to poke it much inside your ear that will damage your ear drum. I don't know what do you call this tool but it is usually cleaning out the ear wax out of your ear. It looks like a small spoon and its really handy and it easily scoop out ear wax. I don't use it much since i use cotton buds regularly for removing water moist in my ear so that when i go out, i won't be getting my ear sticky with dust and all if you don't wipe off your ear dry.

these have been used for decades. there isn't any harm in using them. there isnt any good alternative available either.
