The governor of Illinois got a lot of publicity for soliciting bribes. You hear about a lot of politicians stealing. The worst one I heard about was 2 judges in Pennsylvania who were taking bribes from juvenile detention centers to give wayward kids more stringent sentences. I don't think it can get much worse than that as far as things that people have actually admitted to. I started a discussion about it under the topic united states of America and only got one response. To me it seems like a big deal.

Ted Kennedy murdered a girl 40 years ago and has been senator of Mass. ever since. William Jefferson D.La. allegedly took 4 million dollars IN BRIBES AND WAS REELECTED to congress of Louisiana after hijacking a Duece and a half with a 6 man crew that were rescuing survivors from Hurricane Katrina. He also required a rescue helicopter to pick him up from his house after the truck got stuck. Mayor Ray Nagin told Greyhound, "No Thanks" when they offered to evacuate people from New Orleans prior to Katrina. He also turned away the Red Cross trucks filled with food for the starving masses in the stadium afterwards. He was also re elected. the Media blamed Bush.

Wow that's some serious corruption. If those allegations are true it's hard to believe that they got reelected. I think Ted Kennedy's case goes beyond corruption. I guess sometimes it's all about charisma.

Here is a site about the Ted Kennedy incident. http://ytedk.com/ It's not about charisma, It's about which party they belong to and the extremely biased media that we have in this country today. Don't take my word for it, read "Bias" by Bernard Goldberg. Or anything else he has written since for that matter.

This is off topic, but speaking of Ted Kennedy, did you know that John Kerry put in the porkulus bill some money for a 'shrine' to old Ted in Massachussetts?

Hi Lilnon, It really is a big deal. The only thing is that there are so many other crazy things going on it seems as if it downsized. The worst one I heard of was a public official taking a bride, of course she denied it then someone came up with a cellphone recording of her stuffing the money into her bra.
