Paying the Gas Bill

Our electric and gas are on the same bill, and these past 2 months it has been about $650. In December it was $500. In the summer it was only around $250. Our house is not very well insulated, and last year it was worse. During January and February the power bill was over $1,000!! We're moving in a few weeks though, so that will help us out a lot! I'd call your power company and see if you can do budget billing, where they average out your payments so you pay the same amount each month. You'll end up paying more in summer, but less in winter, so it would help out, and you'll know in advance how much you have to pay.

Does your company have budget billing?? they would level your paymenst so you pay about the same amount every month so you don't have to pay such a big sum at once - my bill was almost $300 which is a lot as well...

Well, my heat is electric,but our third month is our home and the bill is almost $500. I told my husband that I can not afford to pay this bill and that he will have to make some money to pay it. He is currently out of work,but he is going to have to do something to get this bill paid. I think that it is crazy that people can't afford to pay their heat and buy groceries.

That is very high. I think you should have someone check around to see what is malfuctioning in your home. It should not be that high. My electric bill is very high and that is a problem for me. I need it to be lower.

thank god, i was thinking of buying a car when the financial storm struck every corner of the world. Good thing is the car price is dropping day by day, so i need to wait and watch. At present, I don't need to worry about so much cost for maintaining a car, like the gas, car washing, car parking, insurance, reparing, the fine and other fees. I ride bus to work, when I'm going to be late, I call a cab.
