when a gang of older teens started a fight, endangering an elderly man in a wheelchair and several Girl Scouts selling cookies outside the local grocery. The only man out of several inside the mall stores to step forward was my husband, who is recovering from six heart bypasses and can barely walk. He demanded they break up and threatened to call the police. For some reason, they listened and disbanded, but is my handicapped husband the only man left???? Taller, healthier men coward in the store while two handicapped men - my husband and the elderly gentleman in a wheelchair - had to stop a fight. One group of the teens came out of a car swinging a heavy chain with every intension of using it. He did, in fact, swing it, barely missing a woman manger from the grocer and one of the other teens. What would you have done?
